A light control sheet includes transparent electrodes including a first and second transparent electrode layers, a light control layer, a transparent support layer, and a covering layer. The transparent support layer has a support surface supporting the first transparent electrode layer, the first transparent electrode layer includes a first electrode element and a second electrode element aligned along the support surface and electrically insulated from each other by a groove extending in a direction along the support surface of the transparent support layer and that the groove is penetrating through the transparent support layer and the first transparent electrode layer in a depth direction of the groove and has an opening on the protected surface of the transparent support layer, and the covering layer is formed such that the covering layer is covering the opening of the groove formed in the transparent support layer and the first transparent electrode layer.

Light control sheet and method of producing light control sheet

A light control sheet including a first transparent electrode layer, a second transparent electrode layer, a light control layer including a resin layer which is formed between the first and second transparent electrode layers and includes a liquid crystal composition in holes formed in the resin layer, the liquid crystal composition including liquid crystal molecules, and a first alignment layer formed between the first transparent electrode layer and the light control layer such that a haze of the light control layer is increased upon application of a voltage to the first transparent electrode layer. The light control layer includes a first high-density portion and a low-density portion, and the first high-density portion is in contact with the first alignment layer and includes the liquid crystal composition at a density higher than a density of the liquid crystal composition in the low-density portion per unit thickness of the light control layer.

Light control sheet

A light control sheet including a light control layer switchable between a transparent state and an opaque state, and transparent electrode layers sandwiching the light control layer. The light control layer includes a transparent polymer layer that has domains whose average size is 1.0 &#x3bc;m-1.55 &#x3bc;m, and the light control layer includes a liquid crystal composition at a concentration of 37%-55% such that the liquid crystal composition fills the domains.
