A fastener driving tool includes a housing, a motor, a plunger, a spring, a drum, and one of a cable and a sheet member. The motor is provided in the housing. The plunger is provided in the housing for impacting a fastener in a fastener driving direction. The spring urges the plunger in the fastener driving direction. The drum is rotatably supported in the housing and is rotationally driven by the motor. The one of a cable and a sheet member is capable of being wound over the drum and has one end fixed to the drum and another end acting on the spring for transmitting a driving force of the motor to the spring. The spring is configured to accumulate a resilient energy therein for impacting the fastener by the plunger. The resilient energy of the spring is accumulated by forcible resilient deformation thereof as a result of winding of the one of the cable and the sheet member over the drum rotationally driven by the motor.

Fastener driving tool

A fastener driving tool providing a prolonged durability and stabilized fastener driving operation. The tool includes a housing, a motordisposed in the housing, a plungerdisposed in the housing and driven by the motorfor driving a nailA, a cable memberconnected to the plungerfor pulling the plungerfrom its bottom dead center where the nail is driven into a workpiece to a top dead center, and a drumdriven by the motor for winding the cable member thereover. A cable member is wound over the drum by a length greater than a linear distance between the bottom dead center and the top dead center. The cable member is flexed or deflected due to own weight when the plunger is at the bottom dead center.

A fastener driving tool includes a housing, a motor, a plunger, a spring, a power transmission mechanism, and an impact buffering portion. The motor is provided in the housing. The plunger is provided in the housing and impacts a fastener in one direction. The spring urges the plunger in the one direction. The power transmission mechanism connects the motor and the plunger for moving the plunger in another direction opposite to the one direction against an urging force of the spring. The impact buffering portion is provided in one of the power transmission mechanism and the plunger.

Fastener driving tool having impact buffering mechanism

An electric fastener driver having a compact size and simple construction. A driver segment provided with a rack is movably disposed in a housing. A flywheel is driven by a motor. A drive shaft is concentric with and integral with the flywheel. A coil spring is fixed to the drive shaft. A driven rotor is coaxial with the drive shaft and has one end portion serving as a spring seat portion positioned within the coil spring. A pinion is disposed at the driven rotor and is meshedly engaged with the rack. An urging section is disposed within the driven rotor. A ball is movably disposed in a through-hole formed in the driven rotor for urging an end portion of the coil spring by the urging section. A solenoid controls a protruding amount of the ball from the surface of the driven rotor.

Electrically driven flywheel-fastener driver

A drive machine which includes a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a magazine which is attached to the housing and supplies a nail to a drive position, a plunger for driving the nail, a spring which impels and accelerates the plunger to the drive position by elastic force and a chain or belt which is driven by the motor to thus accumulate elastic energy in the spring. The chain has a projection which provides a first state where elastic energy is accumulated in the spring and a second state where the accumulated elastic energy is released.

Chain or belt driven fastener machine

A power driven percussion tool is provided with a rotatable magazine block formed with a plurality of bores about the axis of rotation of the magazine block and is loaded with fasteners such as rivets or nails respectively retained in the bores. When the magazine block is stepwise rotated about its axis the bores are successively brought into alignment with the direction in which the fastener can be driven by a reciprocating hammer. The percussion tool is further provided with safety means for disabling the tool when the tool is not in use or being re-loaded with fasteners.
