There is disclosed a method of processing a light-sensitive material which comprises exposing a light-sensitive material having at least one light-sensitive layer on a support, and subjecting to development by a dipping system or a coating system, and then, peeling at least the light-sensitive layer off by bringing a peeling material into close contact with the light-sensitive material, wherein the peeling material is a material having a liquid-absorbing rate in which a liquid-absorption amount within 0.1 second after getting in contact with a liquid is 60% or more based on a liquid-absorption amount within 0.2 second after the same.

Method of processing light-sensitive material

Disclosed is a method of producing, with good productivity, information recording materials such as a thermal recording material and an inkjet recording material excellent in coating properties and excellent in various properties. The method comprises forming a coating composition film made of a plurality of coating color layers on a substrate by curtain coating and drying the coating composition film to form part or all of layers for forming an information recording material, and either (1) adjusting the viscosity of each of the coating colors for a plurality of the coating color layers to at least 100 mPa&middot;s and controlling the surface tension of the coating color for a lowermost layer to 18 to 45 mN/m, or (2) controlling the density of the coating color for a layer to be positioned above not to exceed 140% of the density of the coating color for an adjacent layer to be positioned below. The present invention has been completed on the basis of the above findings.

Method of producing information recording material

There are disclosed a processing apparatus for a photosensitive material having a coating device of a processing liquid to a photosensitive material, which comprises using a slot die having a manifold and a slot at the inside of the die as a coating device, and a processing apparatus for a photosensitive material which comprises a photosensitive material transferring device, a photosensitive material detecting device, a slot die for coating a processing liquid to the photosensitive material and having a manifold and a slot at the inside of the die, and a device for supplying a predetermined amount of the processing liquid to the slot die, wherein a detection result at the detecting device of the photosensitive material is fed back to the supplying device of the processing liquid to control operation of the processing liquid supplying device.
