The present invention provides a rolling bearing which comprises a retainer that can be used without any deformation at high temperatures and fairly assembled to bearing and thus can be used under severe working conditions such as high temperature, high rotary speed and high load over an extended period of time. A novel rolling bearing is provided comprising a retainer made of a resin composition having a flexural modulus of at least 3,500 MPa at 180&#xb0; C. and a heat-resistant temperature of at least 150&#xb0; C.

Rolling bearing

A bearing in which the thickness of the bottom of at least one of the inner ring and the outer ring is 50% or more of the diameter of the balls. Further, the bearing includes an outer ring having an outer diameter of 65 mm or less and balls having a diameter of 4 mm or less and has a width dimension of 45% or less of the inner diameter dimension thereof wherein the pitch diameter of the balls is closer to the outer side of the bearing than to the center of the section of the bearing. The outer side of the outer raceway grooves is tapered, and the inner side of angularly arranged outer raceway grooves is positioned closer to the central axis of the bearing than to the outer side of the outer raceway grooves.

A pulley support double row ball bearing is disclosed, which improves the seal performance of the seal rings and is able to maintain sufficient durability even under severe conditions. The ball bearing includes inner sections of the seal rings which overlap the end surfaces in an axial direction of the inner ring such that the width of the overlap in the axial direction is 30% or more than the diameter of the balls. Moreover, tip edges of first and second protrusions are formed on the inside surface of the seal lips and come in sliding contact with end surfaces of the inner ring. Furthermore, third protrusions come close to and face the corner sections of the inner ring to form labyrinth seals in those areas.

In a rolling bearing structured such that a plurality of rolling elements are respectively held between inner and outer rings by a retainer, grease is sealed in by a seal, a rotary body with the outer ring fitted therewith and a shaft with the inner ring fitted therewith can be connected together by a clutch mechanism and, when the rotary body and shaft are connected together by the clutch mechanism, the rolling bearing can be used on receiving a rotation load while the relative rotation between the inner and outer rings is zero, an initial radial clearance between the inner and outer rings is set such that a bearing effective clearance when the present rolling bearing is incorporated into between the rotary body and shaft can provide a positive value.

In a seal-type rolling bearing, between an inner ring and an outer ring, contact-type seal plates are respectively interposed on the counter-water-drenchable side and on the water-drenchable side. On the counter-water-drenchable side, a seal plate including, in the lip leading end portion thereof, an air hole for controlling the internal and external pressures of the bearing is disposed. On the water-drenchable side, a seal plate without air hole is disposed.

A contact ellipse at the end portions is made small by increasing the radius of curvature r of the end portions to thereby secure an allowable moment load. In contrast with this, an angular gap is reduced by reducing the radius of curvature r of the central portion

In a rolling bearing including an inner race; an outer race; a plurality of rolling elements rollingly arranged between the inner race and the outer race; and a cage holding the rolling elements, the cage has an annular shape and a plurality of pockets which are formed at plural positions in a circumferential direction of the cage, in which each of the pockets has an opening peripheral portion which is curved to a direction of increasing a distance from a center of the rolling elements. The opening peripheral portion forms a chamfered face or a convex face. The rolling bearing can sufficiently ensure the lubrication of sliding contact portions between the cage and rolling elements so that vibrations and noises of the rolling bearing are lowered.

A device for reciprocating a plunger according to the present invention comprises: an electric motor; a drive shaft rotated by the electric motor; an inner race fixedly mounted on the drive shaft, the inner race having an inner race track which is formed on the outer cylindrical surface of the inner race in such a manner that the inner trace track is not coaxial with the inner cylindrical surface of the inner race and the drive shaft; an outer race provided around the inner race, the outer race having an outer race track which is coaxial with the inner race track; a plurality of rolling members provided between the outer race track and the inner race track; and a plunger member movably supported in an axial direction thereof, one end of the plunger member being elastically abutted against the outer cylindrical surface of the outer race. According to the present invention, it is possible to make a manufacturing cost lower, to make the whole of the device smaller in weight, and to make a quality higher.
