An object of the present invention is to provide an aqueous pigment dispersion that provides an aqueous ink for inkjet recording that contains a reduced number of coarse particles, is excellent in ejection stability, and is applicable to a printer equipped with a high-resolution inkjet head and to provide the aqueous ink for inkjet recording. The present invention relates to an aqueous pigment dispersion containing: a polymer (A) that has anionic groups, has a solubility in water of 0.1 g/100 mL or less and a number average molecular weight within the range of 1,000 to 6,000, and forms fine particles in water when the degree of neutralization of the anionic groups with a basic compound is 100%; a polyhalogenated metal phthalocyanine pigment or a diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment; and water. The invention also relates to an aqueous ink for inkjet recording.

Provided is a printing agent including a pigment, a pigment dispersant, water, an organic solvent, and a binder resin, the pigment dispersant being a polymer (A) including an anionic group, the polymer (A) having a solubility in water of 0.1 g/100 ml or less, a number-average molecular weight of 1000 to 6000, and an acid value of 40 to 400 mgKOH/g. Also provided is a printed fabric produced by applying the printing agent on a fabric. The polymer (A) is preferably a polymer represented by General Formula (1) (where Arepresents a residue of an organolithium initiator; Arepresents a polymer block including a monomer having an aromatic ring or a heterocyclic ring; Arepresents a polymer block including an anionic group; n represents an integer of 1 to 5; and B represents an aromatic group or an alkyl group).

Printing agent, printed fabric, and method for producing printing agent

A water-based ink for inkjet recording contains a pigment, water, organic solvents, at least one compound selected from urea compounds, and a binder resin. The organic solvents include at least (1) a water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of from 100&#xb0; C. to 200&#xb0; C. inclusive and a vapor pressure at 20&#xb0; C. of 0.5 hPa or more, (2) propylene glycol, and (3) glycerin, diglycerin, and/or a derivative thereof serving as an organic solvent. Preferably, the water-based ink further contains a polymer (A) serving as a pigment dispersant. The polymer (A) has an anionic group and has a solubility in water of 0.1 g/100 mL or more, a number average molecular weight within the range of 1,000 to 6,000, and an acid value within the range of 40 to 190 mg KOH/g.

Disclosed are an aqueous pigment dispersion and an aqueous ink for inkjet recording each of which includes a polymer (A), a pigment, and water.
