The present invention relates to a method of displaying an execution status and an execution history of a program for a computer system, associated with a source program and a module relation diagram. The method of displaying program execution according to the present invention displays the processing results of each of execution units, execution statuses of an iteration, a conditional branch, a recursive call and so on super-imposed on the source program displayed on a screen in the vicinity of the respective execution units. Information on execution status is also displayed corresponding to the module relation diagram. Further, a program execution history is preserved so as to allow a reproduced display thereof in the above-mentioned form by request.

Method of displaying program execution for a computer

With employment of an information processing apparatus including a display apparatus, and for executing and debugging a program in an interactive mode, the program is debugged in such a manner that when the program is executed, both a calling relationship between each of modules and an execution history therebetween are sequentially stored, and the dependent relationship between the respective modules (module relation diagram) represented by a tree structure, the execution history of the respective modules, and a source program are displayed. Furthermore, a discriminative display is made to the module which is being executed or in which an error occurs on the module relation diagram, and also a statement source program. In addition, both the module relationship diagram and the module execution history as corresponding with each other an be displayed.

Program debugging support method and apparatus

A display system comprising: display apparatus; a first apparatus for producing a depth value signal and a normal direction signal for each of those display pixels, included in a two-dimensional graphic obtained when a three-dimensional graphic to be displayed is projected on a two-dimensional plane, among the pixels constituting a display screen on the display device, a second apparatus connected to the first apparatus and responsive to each of the depth value signals for producing a first reflection light intensity signal for each display pixel, a third apparatus connected with the first apparatus and responsive to each of the normal direction signals produced from the first apparatus for producing a second reflection light intensity signal for each display pixel, and a fourth apparatus, connected to the display device, the second apparatus and third apparatus and responsive to the first and second reflection light intensity signals for each display pixel for controlling a reflection light intensity signal for each of the plurality of display pixels to be sent to said display device.

An apparatus for shading a polyhedron at high speed is disclosed which includes the combination of a polygon-scan line conversion processor and an inner product interpolation processor for obtaining a pair of inner products of vectors indicative of a relation among the direction of a normal, the direction of a light source and the direction of a view point each viewed at a point within a polygon having a plurality of vertices, on the basis of the position of said point in the polygon and the direction of a normal at each of the vertices, a table searched on the basis of the inner products of vectors and holding a series of brightness data which have previously been calculated for a series of values of each of the inner products of vectors, a buffer for storing the result of table search for the above table, and a D/A conversion circuit for converting the result of table search into a signal which is used as a brightness control signal in a display device.

Shading apparatus for displaying three dimensional objects

An apparatus for filling an interior of a shape to be displayed on a raster scan CRT which reads out a refresh memory. The apparatus includes a memory for storing information of starting points and ending points for filling. The write of a filling color code into the refresh memory is initiated and terminates in response to the filling starting point and the filling ending point, respectively, but inhibited at its memory locations on the contour of the shape. The direction of the filling is perpendicular to the raster scanning of the CRT.

Filled shaped generating apparatus

A graphic display apparatus for generating a vector comprises registers for storing a value R of a vector discrimination, a positive increment P and a negative increment N, and flip-flops for storing magnitude information of .DELTA.X, .DELTA.Y, and .DELTA.X and .DELTA.Y. An address counter of a refresh memory is counted up or down in accordance with the contents of those flip-flops. A control circuit for updating the value R of the vector discrimination is also provided, so that the vector can be generated at a high speed. The registers and the flip-flops are constructed in two stages so that data for generating the next vector can be prepared while the current vector is generated.
