A medical stent including: a tubular main body made of resin that extends along an axis; a first locking member including a first fixed end fixed to the distal end side of the main body, and a first free end positioned radially outward of the main body; a second locking member including a second fixed end fixed to the proximal end side of the main body, and a second free end positioned radially outward of the main body; and a spiral reinforcing material made of metal which is embedded between the inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the main body. The reinforcing material includes a first portion spirally wound between the first and second fixed ends, a second portion spirally wound at a pitch greater than that of the first portion, and a third portion spirally wound at a pitch greater than that of the second portion.

A stent delivery device for delivering a self-expanding stent comprises an inner sheath including a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, a stent stopper including a stopper main body that is circumferentially disposed over at least a portion of the inner sheath at the proximal end portion, and at least one projection extending radially outward from the stopper main body for releasably engaging a portion of the self-expanding stent, and an outer sheath slidably disposed over the inner sheath and the stent stopper. The at least one projection includes a distal end surface and a proximal end surface, and the proximal end surface includes a recess extending into a body of the projection toward the distal end surface.

A stent for medical use includes: a main body which includes a first rigid portion formed in a tubular shape along a longitudinal axis and having a predetermined rigidity with respect to a compression force exerted in a radial direction and a second rigid portion having a rigidity less than that of the first rigid portion, the second rigid portion which is substantially coaxial with and continues to a proximal end of the first rigid portion, and the second rigid portion which formed in a tubular shape along the longitudinal axis; and a gripping target region which is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the second rigid portion and is gripped by a gripping tool when the main body is led into a channel of an endoscope.

Stent for medical use

A stent delivery system includes a guide catheter, a tubular stent into which the guide catheter can be inserted, and a tubular pusher catheter into which the guide catheter can be inserted and disposed nearer to a proximal end side than the stent. The pusher catheter includes a diameter expansion-suppressing part provided at a distal end part and having the same inner diameter as the stent and an intermediate part provided at a proximal end side of the diameter expansion-suppressing part and having a bending stiffness less than that of the diameter expansion-suppressing part. When the stent is pushed toward a distal end side by pushing the intermediate part of the pusher catheter toward the distal end side and bringing a distal end part of the diameter expansion-suppressing part into contact with a proximal end part of the stent, an inner diameter of the pusher catheter is prevented from expanding.

The medical stent includes: a main body formed into an approximately tubular shape along a longitudinal axis with a first resin material; an elastic member formed of a second resin material which is larger in flexural modulus than the first resin material, and configured to have one end portion connected to an end portion of the main body and the other end portion formed to extend to the central portion side of the main body along the longitudinal axis and also to direct to the radial direction of the main body; and a treated layer formed between the end portion of the main body and the one end portion of the elastic member and configured to have a functional group for joining the end portion of the main body and the one end portion of the elastic member to each other.
