There is provided a locking device for a transfer feeder which can certainly lock transfer bars at desired positions so that the transfer bars and their driving portions will never initiate motion unexpectedly. The locking device includes a plurality of engaging plates secured to a feed carrier and an equalizer bar provided in lifting/clamping mechanism and formed with a plurality of engaging holes respectively aligned in longitudinal direction with regular intervals, and a plurality of locking pins secured on a plurality of portions of a press main body in opposition to the engaging plates and movable in axial and lateral directions by means of driving devices for engagement with respective one of the engaging holes.

Locking device for transfer feeder

Apparatus including a pair of transfer bars, extending horizontally in spaced parallelism, for transporting work through successive processing stations as in a three-dimensional transfer press system for the fabrication of various panel products. The transfer bars are cam operated to move back and forth, up and down, and toward and away from each other, thereby three-dimensionally transferring work. For the up-and-down motion of the transfer bars a lift cam mechanism is coupled via a rack-and-pinion linkage to lift carriers carrying the transfer bars so as to allow them to reciprocate longitudinally and move toward and away from each other. Interposed between the lift cam mechanism and the rack-and-pinion linkage is a height adjustment mechanism providing a variable length of connection therebetween to make it possible to adjust the lowermost position of the transfer bars to the height of the lower press dies in use.

A finger apparatus for an idle station of a transfer press including a pair of transfer bars each divided into an upstream side end bar, a central bar and a downstream side end bar. The central bar is adapted to be moved in and out of the press together with a moving bolster and the end bars are positioned between uprights of the press. A finger of the apparatus is mounted to a mounting plate which is connected to the central bar via quadric linkage. A cylinder is connected to the quadric linkage and the central bar for swinging the mounting plate between a first position where the mounting plate is abutted on the upper surface of the upstream side end bar and/or the downstream side end bar and a second position where the mounting plate is held above the central bar such that the finger may be moved in and out of the transfer press with the mounting bolster.

Finger apparatus for an idle station in a transfer press

A driving mechanism for transfer finger of bolt forming header wherein the phase of cam of the device can be easily variable. The device comprises a base frame, a drive shaft rotatably mounted on said base frame, a cylindrical holder fixedly mounted on said drive shaft, a pair of clutch cylinders mounted on said cylindrical holder, said clutch cylinders having serrations at one end thereof and recessed and ridged portion at the other end thereof, a pair of cams mounted on said cylindrical holder, said cams having serrations engageable with the serrations of said clutch cylinders, and a pair of clutches mounted on said cylindrical holder at both ends thereof, said clutches having recessed and ridged portion engageable with said recessed and ridged portions of said clutch cylinders.
