A power supply system connected to a motor unit of an electric vehicle, the power supply system includes: a fuel cell; a secondary battery; a voltage control unit; and a switch. The fuel cell is directly connected to the motor unit, the secondary battery is connected to the motor unit via the voltage control unit, and the switch is configured to switch between a first state in which the secondary battery and the voltage control unit are connected in parallel with the fuel cell and a second state in which the secondary battery and the voltage control unit are connected in series with the fuel cell.

Power supply system

A power supply systemincludes: first power lines () to which a first battery (B) is connected; second power lines () to which a second battery (B) is connected; a voltage converter () which converts voltage; a power converter which converts electric power; a management ECU () and converter ECU () which operates the voltage converter (); a smoothing capacitor connected to the first power lines (); and a motor ECU () which executes system interruption processing of determining the existence of failure of the contactors () based on a change in voltage of the smoothing capacitor. The management ECU () and converter ECU () operate the voltage converter () so that a state in which the static voltage of the first battery (B) is higher by at least the determination potential difference than the static voltage of the second battery (B).

A power supply device includes: a first power storage device; a second power storage device that outputs voltage higher than the output voltage of the first power storage device and is connected in series to the first power storage device; a voltage converter connected to the output terminal of the first power storage device to output converted voltage; a second load connected to the output terminal of the voltage converter; and a control unit that controls the voltage converter at fixed boost ratio such that the converted voltage is the sum of the output voltage of the first power storage device and output voltage of the second power storage device. The output terminal of the first power storage device is connected to the second power storage device. The output terminal of the second power storage device is connected to the output terminal of the voltage converter.

A vehicle electric power supply apparatus includes: a first battery that supplies electric power to a first load that is driven at a first voltage and a second load that is driven at a second voltage which is lower than the first voltage; a second battery that supplies electric power to the second load and that has a lower output voltage than that of the first battery; a DC/DC converter that reduces a voltage value of the first battery and that supplies electric power to the second load; and a control part that controls a state of supplying electric power of the first battery to the second load by controlling an operation of the DC/DC converter based on a charging rate of the first battery and a charging rate of the second battery.

An end of a reactor () is connected to a junction between first and second switching elements (and), while the other end of the reactor () is connected to the second line (L). The power supply apparatus (), when activated, executes an operation in which, while the ON state of the first switching element () is inhibited, only the second switching element () is alternately turned ON and OFF with the ON state duration changed such that the ON state duration has a tendency to become longer. Thereafter, the power supply apparatus () executes an operation in which the switching elements (and) are alternately turned ON.

Insulation measurement method and insulation measurement apparatus

When the three U-, V-, W-phase arms of a DC/DC converter are turned on, they are alternately turned on by gate drive signals. When the U-, V-, W-phase arms are alternately turned on, an upper arm switching device of the U-phase arm, for example, is turned on, and thereafter a lower arm switching device of the U-phase arm is turned on. Thereafter, an upper arm switching device of the V-phase arm which is next to the U-phase arm is turned on, and thereafter a lower arm switching device of the V-phase arm is turned on. The upper and lower arm switching devices are thus turned on in a rotation switching process.

An insulation detecting device having a capacitor and a DC power source, insulated from a ground potential part. A voltage detecting unit, detects a voltage across the capacitor. A first switching unit connects the capacitor to the DC power source in series for a first preset time shorter than a time taken for completely charging the capacitor. A second switching unit connects the capacitor between a positive terminal of the DC power source and the ground potential part in series for a second preset time. A third switching unit connects the capacitor between a negative terminal of the DC power source and the ground potential part in series for the second preset time. A fourth switching unit connects the voltage detecting unit to the capacitor after the first to third switching units are turned off. A computing unit estimates a voltage across the power source.
