A silver halide emulsion comprising a dispersion medium and silver halide grains, wherein at least 60% of the total projected area of all the silver halide grains in the emulsion are occupied by tabular grains each of which have &lcub;100&rcub; faces as principal planes; an aspect ratio of at least 2.0 but less than 100; a length to width ratio (long side/short side) in a form of a right angled parallelogram of 1 to 6, wherein the right angled parallelogram is the one that is surrounded by the &lcub;100&rcub; faces at the edges of the tabular grain or that is shaped by extending the &lcub;100&rcub; faces at the edges of the tabular grain; and at least one dislocation line.

A color photographic light-sensitive material comprises at least two silver halide emulsion layer groups having different color sensitivities on a support. Each group contains at least two silver halide emulsion layers to essentially the same spectral range and having different sensitivities. A highest-speed layer of these at least two silver halide emulsion layers contains a silver halide emulsion in which selenium-sensitized silver halide grains with an aspect ratio of 3 or more occupy 50% or more of a total projected area. A lowest-speed layer of the at least two silver halide emulsion layers contains a selenium-sensitized regular crystal silver halide emulsion. In development of this light-sensitive material, a method of continuously processing which comprises exposing said photographic light-sensitive material, subjecting said photographic light-sensitive material to a developing solution and replenishing a developer solution with not mre than 500 ml of developer replenishing solution per 1 m.sup.2.

Silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material

In a first processing step, whether a first photosensitive material is a particular photosensitive material is detected. If it is detected at least that the first photosensitive material is the particular photosensitive material, processing conditions in the first processing step are recorded in a predetermined position on the first photosensitive material. Exposure conditions in the exposure step are set in accordance with one of the result of the detection and the processing conditions recorded on the first photosensitive material.
