A heating apparatus for a washer fluid according to an embodiment includes a container having an accommodation space in which a washer fluid is accommodated, an inlet part configured to charge the washer fluid into the accommodation space, an outlet part configured to discharge the washer fluid from the accommodation space, a heater provided in the accommodation space, the heater being configured to heat the washer fluid, and coils wound around the heater. The coils are in a spiral shape extending about the axis of the coils and are formed of wires in contact with the heater. The coils have close contact parts at which a plurality of wires is in close contact to each other in an extending direction of an axis.

A rotation restricting structure of an automobile door mirror, in which a shaft is erected on the top surface of a projection portion of a mirror base, and in which a frame for supporting a mirror body is turnably fitted onto the shaft, wherein a stopper member for restricting a turning angle by engaging with the frame is provided between the frame and the shaft. The stopper member includes a projection, which is formed on the shaft base portion in such a way as to be integral therewith, and an angle adjusting plate provided separately from the projection. The adjusting plate having a thickness corresponding to a folding angle of the door mirror is attached to each or one of both the opposite side surfaces of the projection. Thus, even when the folding angle of the mirror body is changed, the frame and the shaft can be used in common among the door mirrors. Moreover, the strength of the stopper can be increased.

In a device for detecting mirror position, there is provided a resistor substrate being located coaxially with a nut adjuster for adjusting an angle of incline of a mirror, and a contact member so as to nip the resistor substrate. The contact member slides in line corresponding to the movement of the nut adjuster while the resistor substrate is fixed to a housing. Thus, as the nut adjuster slides, the contact member slides against the resistor substrate, which results the change of a contact position of the contact member and a long resistance R1. Consequently, since a voltage level generated at the contact member changes, the angle of incline of the mirror can be determined by detecting this voltage level. Inasmuch as the contact member and the resistor substrate are housed within a sliding block, there is no need for much space to locate the various parts in, and thus the whole device can be configured in a compact manner. In addition, the fact that the resistance R1 is connected to the direct-current power source via resistances R2 and R3 means that the measured voltage level is acquired in the form of an intermediate value of the direct-current power source voltage. Subsequently, it is possible to reduce the influence of noise and other factors so that the mirror angle can be detected with a high degree of accuracy.

An escape device for an inner mirror includes a stay base mounted on a ceiling of a cabin of a vehicle a stay suspended from and supported by the stay base and connected to the stay base pivotably about an axis extending horizontally in the direction of width of the vehicle, the stay having a mirror body attached to a lower portion thereof, and a stop mechanism provided between the stay base and the stay for stopping the pivotal movement of the stay about the axis relative to the stay base and thereby holding the stay in a suspended state in a normal mode of use and, when an external force exceeding a predetermined value is applied to the stay in the forward direction of the vehicle, disengaging the stay by the external force to allow the pivotal movement of the stay about the axis.

A levelness adjusting device includes a positioning a unit mounted on a support surface for an actuator unit which is fixed on a frame, in which said positioning a unit comprises a base screw hole to play a support point, several adjusting screw holes which are located on a same circumference centering the base screw hole and are opened at positions adjusted to an inclination of the shaft for rotating a mirror body and several screws threaded into the screw hole so as to fix the actuator unit on the frame. The screw is penetrated from the actuator unit front portion to the frame via the screw hole which is formed on a periphery edge of the actuator unit. The screw is threaded into the base screw hole and the corresponding screw hole, and the actuator unit is positioned on the frame.

The electrically powered remote control rearview mirror includes a mirror body (12); an actuator unit (15) including a housing (16, 17) having an outer surface with a convex portion (43) and a concave portion (46); mirror tilting motors (31, 32) inside the housing (16, 17) with motor terminals (31a,31a); wire harnesses (39) for electrical connection to the respective motors, each of which include harness terminals (37, 38) for electrical contact with respective motor terminals (31a,31a), and connectors (40) secured to the housing to maintain the electrical connection of the respective wire harnesses (39) to the motors. Each connector (40) is provided with a concave portion (41) facing the housing (16,17), two containing portions (42,42) on respective opposite sides of the concave portion (41) for holding the harness terminals (37, 38) of the wire harness (39), a concave groove (44) formed in peripheral wall top portions of the containing portions (42,42) in which the convex portion (43) is engaged and a pair of engaging pawls (45) protruding from an inside wall of the concave portion (41) into the housing (16, 17) and engaging the housing to firmly hold the connector (40) on the housing. The housing (16) includes two throughgoing slits (47) for each connector through which the harness terminals (37,38) are passed.

The speed reduction device for the electrically powered foldable rearview mirror includes a two stage speed reduction worm mechanism connecting an electrically powered motor for folding the rearview mirror which is fixed on a frame of a mirror body and a clutch gear engageably and removably mounted on a shaft which stands on a base and on which the mirror body is rotatably mounted. The first stage worm of the speed reduction worm mechanism is a twin gear including a worm screw portion with a coaxial spur gear on an end thereof. The second stage worm is a twin gear including a worm screw portion with a coaxial worm wheel on an end thereof. The spur gear of the first stage worm is engaged with a pinion mounted on an output shaft of the motor but the axis of the worm screw portion of the first stage worm is parallel with the motor output shaft. The worm wheel of the second stage worm engages the worm screw portion of the first stage worm and the worm screw portion of the second stage worm is engaged with the clutch gear. When the electrically powered foldable rearview mirror using the worm mechanism is rotated to the erected state and to the folded state, the thrust reaction on the worms of the speed reduction mechanism is not transmitted to the motor shaft.

The rearview mirror has a shaft attached to a base, a mirror body rotatably mounted on the shaft, a frame fixed to the mirror body, an electric drive motor and a speed reduction gear mechanism fixed to the frame, and a clutch gear mounted on the shaft and engaged with a final stage gear of the speed reduction gear mechanism. A holding device of a mirror element for rearview mirror includes an actuator unit for tiltably inclining a mirror, and a mirror element mounted through a pivot plate on the actuator unit. The mirror element has a mirror plate and a mirror holder, and an aperture of the size capable of engaging at least the central portion of the pivot plate at the center of the mirror holder. Hook type latch means is provided at the mirror holder and the upper portion of the pivot plate, and pawl engaging means utilizing undercuts are formed at the lower portion. The pivot plate is mounted by the supporting means of the actuator unit to form a subassembly. After the subassembly is fixed to the mirror body, the hook of the mirror element is engaged with the pivot plate, and the pawl is engaged while rotating the mirror element downward at the latch as a center to associate the mirror assembly.

The actuator unit housing for a rearview mirror includes two electric motors for tilting a mirror element in an actuator unit, and a drive transmission, and means for foldably supporting a mirror element on the upper surface of the actuator housing. A guide inlet for inserting an electric supply and control harness line of the motors is formed in the actuator unit housing. Since the guide inlet is composed of a plurality of lateral slits with labyrinths, the movement of the harness line occurred when the actuator is assembled or repaired can be suppressed. When a connector socket is buried in the slit, the socket is positioned by the labyrinth, and even if an external force by engaging a plug piece is applied, the socket can be stably held.
