In a non-reciprocal circuit device, a first center conductor, a second center conductor, and a third center conductor are disposed on a ferrite, to which a direct current magnetic field is applied by a permanent magnet, so as to be insulated from one another and so as to intersect with one another. One end of the first center conductor defines a first port, one end of the second center conductor defines a second port, and one end of the third center conductor defines a third port. The first port is connected to a first terminal, the second port is connected to a second terminal, and the third port is connected to a third terminal. The other ends of the respective center conductors are connected to one another, which is connected to a ground. Capacitance elements are connected in parallel to the respective center conductors.

Non-reciprocal circuit device

In a non-reciprocal circuit element, first to third center conductors intersect one another in an insulated state around a microwave magnetic body, and first ends of the first to third center conductors define first to third ports. A first capacitance element is connected to the first center conductor in parallel and a second capacitance element is connected to the second center conductor in parallel, and the other ends of the first to third center conductors are connected to one another and are grounded via a first inductance element and a third capacitance element that are connected in series. A second inductance element is connected to one end of the center conductor in parallel, and the other end of the second inductance element is grounded. A fourth capacitance element is connected to a connection point between the one end of the center conductor and the second inductance element, and the other end of the fourth capacitance element is connected to a third terminal.

Non-reciprocal circuit element

A method of manufacturing a non-reciprocal component including a casing having an input/output terminal and a ground terminal formed therein, a ferrite plate, a line conductor, and a magnet disposed in the casing, and an upper yoke and a lower yoke provided at the top face and the bottom face of the casing, respectively. In the non-reciprocal component, the casing is insert-molded with the lower yoke so that a portion of the casing penetrates through the lower yoke. A side of the component is defined partly by the lower yoke and partly by the penetrating portion of the casing. An input/output terminal and a ground terminal in the casing are defined by respective portions of a molded hoop material.

Method of manufacturing a nonreciprocal device

A method of manufacturing a nonreciprocal circuit device is performed such that matching capacitors are formed of single-board-type capacitors including capacitor electrodes formed so as to be opposed to each other on both main surfaces of a dielectric substrate with the substrate in between. An outer peripheral edge of a ground electrode (or another connected electrode), to which a capacitor electrode of the single-board-type capacitor is connected, is positioned inwardly from an outer peripheral edge of the capacitor electrode.

A nonreciprocal circuit device includes a first center electrode and a second center electrode intersecting each other, each having one end thereof grounded, a ferrimagnetic body provided in the vicinity of the first center electrode and the second center electrode, a magnet applying a magnetostatic field to the ferrimagnetic body, a series capacitor connected in series between the other end of the first center electrode and an input terminal and a series capacitor connected in series between the other end of the second center electrode and an output terminal, and a parallel capacitor connected in parallel between the other end of the first center electrode and a ground and a parallel capacitor connected in parallel between the other end of the second center electrode and the ground.

Nonreciprocal circuit device and high-frequency circuit apparatus

A nonreciprocal circuit device including a metal case through which a high frequency current is difficult to flow, and a communication apparatus incorporating the nonreciprocal circuit device. The cross section of the metal case has a rectangular-frame shape formed by inwardly bending a substantially rectangular metal plate at four positions at angles of 90 degrees in parallel to the short edges of the metal plate. The top ends of two arms of the metal case are opposed to each other at a specified distance. As a result, the metal case does not form a loop around a permanent magnet and a central electrode assembly.

Nonreciprocal circuit device and communication apparatus incorporating the same

The present invention provides a nonreciprocal circuit device which allows the relationship between the input and the output to be reversed using the identical terminal layout on a mounting substrate, only by preparing for a single type of nonreciprocal circuit device, and also provides a communication apparatus using this nonreciprocal circuit device. In this reciprocal circuit device, a plurality of centeral conductors are disposed on a ferrite on which DC magnetic field is to be applied, in a state of intersecting one another, matching capacitors are each connected between the ports of the centeral conductors and grounds, and a terminating resistor is connected between a predetermined port and a ground. In a resin case , input/output terminals which are conductively connected to the respective ports are disposed at substantially rotation-symmetrical positions with respect to the center of the bottom surface of the resin case.

Nonreciprocal circuit device and communication apparatus

A nonreciprocal circuit device, which includes a permanent magnet; a ferrite to which a DC magnetic field is applied by the permanent magnet; a plurality of center electrodes extending from a first major surface of the ferrite to a second major surface of the ferrite via side surfaces of the ferrite; a ground plate disposed on the second major surface side of the ferrite and electrically connected to the plurality of center electrodes; a plurality of matching capacitors electrically connected between the ground plate and port sections of the plurality of center electrodes respectively; and at least one of the matching capacitors being disposed such that the capacitor electrode face thereof and the ferrite form an angle in a range of 60 degrees to 120 degrees.

A nonreciprocal circuit device which can be miniaturized, and can achieve low insertion loss, having plate-like capacitors disposed vertically. Single plate capacitors are arranged vertically so that their electrode faces are at an angle of 90 degrees to a ferrite, and in addition, their bottom faces are at a position above the bottom half of the thickness of the ferrite, or more preferably, at a position higher than the top face of the ferrite.

In the nonreciprocal circuit device, a ferrite assembly is formed by winding a quadrangular ferrite plate with insulated copper wires mutually intersecting. The ferrite assembly is arranged perpendicularly to the mounting surface of a mounting substrate. On each side of the ferrite assembly, there is arranged a magnet applying a static magnetic field perpendicularly to main surface of the ferrite plate.

The present invention provides a nonreciprocal circuit device which has solved problems, such as the increase in production cost, the reduction in reliability, and the overall upsizing thereof, which are caused by the mounting of a circuit element having a matching circuit onto a printed board, and also provides a communication apparatus including this nonreciprocal circuit. This nonreciprocal circuit includes a ferrite assembly formed by combining mutually intersecting first and second central conductors and a ferrite, magnets applying an magnetostatic field to this ferrite assembly, and a yoke. Furthermore, circuit elements which are connected to the first and second central conductors and which constitute a matching circuit, are formed in a dielectric laminated substrate, on which the ferrite assembly is mounted.

A non-reciprocal component includes a casing having an input/output terminal and a ground terminal formed therein, a ferrite plate, a line conductor, and magnetic stored in the casing, and an upper yoke and a lower yoke provided at the top face and the bottom face of the casing, respectively. In the non-reciprocal component, the casing is insert-molded with the lower yoke.

A nonreciprocal circuit device requires less layout space when single-board capacitors are used, and meets demands for a smaller and lighter configuration. An isolator (nonreciprocal circuit device) comprises a ferrite, a permanent magnet applying a direct current magnetic field to the ferrite, a plurality of central electrodes respectively having ports disposed on the ferrite and a single-based matching capacitor with capacitor electrodes formed on both surfaces of a dielectric substrate such that the capacitor electrodes are opposed to each other and sandwich the dielectric substrate. In various embodiments, the permanent magnet and/or; the ferrite has a square shape and the capacitor electrodes of the matching capacitors are arranged at an angle of 60 to 90 degrees with respect a mounting surface and the matching capacitors are disposed so as to surround the sides of the ferrite.

Nonreciprocal circuit device

A highly reliable nonreciprocal circuit device facilitating incorporation of matching capacitors and a communication apparatus incorporating the same are disclosed. In the nonreciprocal circuit device, central conductors are integrally extended from a ground plate abutting on the bottom of a ferrite plate to be mutually crossed on the upper surface of the ferrite plate via an insulation sheet after passing over the side surfaces of the ferrite plate. Matching capacitors are connected by soldering between capacitor-connecting terminals integrally extended from the ground plate and the ports of the central conductors in such a manner that electrode surfaces of the matching capacitors are set perpendicularly with respect to a main surface of the ferrite plate.
