Improved wafer-scale testing of optoelectronic devices, such as CMOS image scan devices, is provided. A probe card includes an LED light source corresponding to each device under test in the wafer. The LED light sources provide light from a phosphor illuminated by the LED. A pinhole and lens arrangement is used to collimate the light provided to the devices under test. Uniformity of illumination can be provided by closed loop control of the LED light sources using internal optical signals as feedback signals, in combination with calibration data relating the optical signal values to emitted optical intensity. Uniformity of illumination can be further improved by providing a neutral density filter for each LED light source to improve uniformity from one source to another and/or to improve uniformity of the radiation pattern from each LED light source.

A polycarbonate resin composition and a molded article thereof are described, which have good flame retardance and high thermal stability when molded under high temperature. The resin composition contains a resin modifier (B) containing a tetrafluoroethylene-based polymer (p1) and a vinyl polymer (p2) other than the polymer (p1). The resin modifier (B) is obtained by using an alkaline (earth) metal salt other than a sulfate salt to coagulate a latex containing the polymer (p1) and the polymer (p2). The polymer (p2) is formed by performing polymerization on a vinyl monomer (X) containing at least 20 mass % of an aromatic vinyl monomer (x1) in the presence of at least one emulsifier selected from a phosphoric acid-based emulsifier, a carboxylic acid-based emulsifier, and a nonionic emulsifier.

Disclosed is an impact strength modifier (&#x3b1;) for a chlorine-containing resin, comprising a powder of a graft copolymer (A) obtained by graft polymerizing one or more kinds of vinyl monomers (b1) onto a polyorganosiloxane rubber (A1) or a composite rubber (A2) containing a polyorganosiloxane rubber and a polyalkyl(meth)acrylate rubber, wherein the specific surface area of the powder of the graft copolymer (A) measured by a nitrogen gas adsorption method is from 0.6 to 30 m/g, and the pH of water used for extraction under conditions, in which (1) in an oven at 180&#xb0; C., 5.0 g of the powder of the graft copolymer (A) is left to stand still and heated for 15 minutes, and (2) after the heating, the powder is dispersed in 100 ml of heated pure water and extracted for 1 hour at 70&#xb0; C. while stirring, is from 4 to 11.

A probe card apparatus can comprise a tester interface to a test controller, probes for contacting terminals of electronic devices to be tested, and electrical connections there between. A polymer powder (P) selected from a group consisting of (i) a polymer powder (P1) and (ii) a polymer powder (P2) is provided. The (i) polymer powder (P1) includes a (meth)acrylate-based polymer (A1) having a glass transition temperature of 0&#xb0; C. or less, and the polymer powder has an acetone-soluble component of 5 mass % or more. The acetone-soluble component has a mass average molecular weight of 100,000 or more. Disclosed is a method for producing powder of a vinyl polymer containing a silicone polymer, which comprises the step of spray-drying a latex of the vinyl polymer containing a silicone polymer obtained by polymerization of a vinyl monomer in the presence of a latex of the silicone polymer, wherein 3.0 mmol or less of a sulfate is contained in 100 g of the powder of a vinyl polymer containing a silicone polymer. According to the present invention, a powder which can provide a shaped article excellent in impact resistance and hydrolysis resistance in the case when the powder is blended in a resin such as polycarbonate resin can be obtained.
