According to one embodiment, a carbon dioxide adsorption-desorption device including an electrode that includes a porous composite is provided. The porous composite includes an electro-conductive component and a porous material on the electro-conductive component. The porous material has pores of an angstrom size or a nanometer size, and includes a moiety exhibiting redox activity according to electrical response.

Carbon dioxide adsorption-desorption device

A carbon dioxide fixation method includes: immersing a magnesium alloy in an aqueous solvent; blowing carbon dioxide-containing gas into the aqueous solvent; and electrically energizing and thereby subjecting the aqueous solvent to electrolysis treatment so as to produce precipitates containing magnesium carbonate. The method can be carried out in a system having: a treating bath for storing a magnesium alloy and an aqueous solvent to treat a magnesium alloy in which the magnesium alloy is treated, a gas-introducing unit for blowing carbon dioxide-containing gas into the aqueous solvent, a pair of electrodes for applying voltage to the aqueous solvent so as to conduct electrolysis treatment, and a power control unit connected to the electrodes.

Carbon dioxide fixation method and carbon dioxide fixation system

The embodiments provide an acidic gas absorbent having low diffusibility, an acidic gas removal method employing the acidic gas absorbent, and also an acidic gas removal apparatus employing the absorbent. The acidic gas absorbent according to the embodiment comprises: a particular tertiary amine compound, such as, an alkyl dialkanol amine or a hydroxyalkyl piperazine; a halogen-free ionic surfactant; and an aqueous solvent. The embodiments provide not only the acidic gas absorbent but also an acidic gas removal method and apparatus employing the acidic gas absorbent.

Acidic gas absorbent, acidic gas removal method and acidic gas removal apparatus

According to one embodiment, an amine-containing water concentration system includes an osmotic pressure generator and a carbon dioxide introducing unit. The osmotic pressure generator includes a treatment vessel, a first chamber to which the water to be treated is supplied, a second chamber capable of storing a working medium, and a semipermeable membrane that partitions the first chamber and the second chamber, which are located in the treatment vessel. The carbon dioxide introducing unit is capable of introducing carbon dioxide into the water to be treated.

Amine-containing water concentration system and apparatus, and carbon dioxide recovery system

The embodiments provide an acidic gas absorbent kept from deterioration, an acidic gas removal method using the absorbent, and an acidic gas removal apparatus using the same. The acidic gas absorbent contains an amine compound and water, and further contains superfine bubble containing inert gas wherein an average diameter of said superfine bubble is 150 nm or less. The acidic gas removal method provided here employs that absorbent. The acidic gas removal apparatus is equipped with a unit for introducing the superfine bubbles into the absorbent.

A working medium includes a first amine compound and a second amine compound. The first amine compound is a heterocyclic tertiary amine compound including a carbon atom, a nitrogen atom and a hydrogen atom, and in which a ratio (C/N ratio) of a carbon atom number to a nitrogen atom number included in one molecule is from 7 to 9. The second amine compound is a heterocyclic tertiary amine compound including a carbon atom, a nitrogen atom and a hydrogen atom. and in which a ratio (C/N ratio) of a carbon atom number to a nitrogen atom number included in one molecule is in a range of 5 or more to less than 7.

Working medium and water treatment system

The embodiments provide an acidic gas absorbent having low diffusibility, an acidic gas removal method, and an acidic gas removal apparatus. The acidic gas absorbent according to the embodiment comprises: an amine compound having a vapor pressure of 0.001 to 10 Pa at 20&#xb0; C.; a water-soluble polymer compound having a mass-average molecular weight of 900 to 200000 and not containing a functional group having a pKa value greater than 7 except for hydroxy; and water.

The embodiment provides a composite that allows the release of acid gas, even the continuous release of acid gas, at low temperature and with a high acid-gas release rate in a regeneration tower of an acid gas removal apparatus, and a regenerator and an acid gas removal apparatus, in both of which the composite is used, and a method of acid gas removal. The composite according to the embodiment is capable of separating an acid gas from an acid gas absorbent, which has absorbed the acid gas, to regenerate the acid gas absorbent, wherein the composite contains an inorganic layered compound and an aluminum-containing oxide. Also provided are a regenerator using the composite to regenerate an acid gas absorbent that has absorbed an acid gas by allowing the acid gas absorbent to release the acid gas, and an acid gas removal apparatus equipped with the regenerator.

Acid gas removal apparatus and method

The embodiments provide an acidic gas absorbent, an acidic gas removal method using the absorbent, and an acidic gas removal apparatus using the absorbent. The absorbent absorbs an acidic gas in a large amount and is hardly diffused. The acidic gas absorbent according to the embodiment comprises an amine compound represented by the following formula (1): 

A carbon dioxide absorbent of an embodiment includes a heterocyclic amine expressed by Formula (1), and the heterocyclic amine having a pKa of any one amino group included in a heterocyclic ring in Formula (1) in a range of 7.0 or more to 8.6 or less and an organic solvent having a boiling point of 150&#xb0; C. or more at 1 atm. A total mass of the heterocyclic amine and the organic solvent is 70 mass % or more to 100 mass % or less of the carbon dioxide absorbent. Each of Rto Rin Formula (1) is H, oxygen double-bonded with carbon of the heterocyclic ring, CH, OH, or an alkyl chain optionally including a functional group. Xin Formula (1) is H, CH, CO, C(O)OCH, C(O)OCH, C(O)OCH(CH), C(O)OC(CH), C(O)OCH, C(O)CH, or C(O)CH.

Carbon dioxide absorbent and apparatus of separating and recovering carbon dioxide

The embodiments provide an acidic gas absorbent, an acidic gas removal method, and an acidic gas removal apparatus. The absorbent absorbs an acidic gas in a large amount and hardly diffuses in air. The acidic gas absorbent according to the embodiment comprises an amine compound having a sulfonyl group and two or more amino groups.

An embodiment provides a working medium to be used in a circular osmotic pressure electric power generation system. The working medium comprises water and an inducing-liquid. The working medium, under conditions of a temperature of 5&#xb0; C. to 35&#xb0; C. and a pressure of 1 atmosphere, is in (1) a state of a liquid-liquid mutually dissolved two-component mixed solution when a concentration of the water or the inducing-liquid in the total amount of the water and the inducing-liquid is 10% by weight or lower, and (2) a state of being separated into the water phase and the inducing-liquid phase when the concentration of the water or the inducing-liquid in the total amount of the water and the inducing-liquid is higher than 10% by weight.

There is provided an efficient treatment method for boron-containing water capable of reducing an amount of use of medical agent and an amount of generation of sludge. A treatment method for boron-containing water of an embodiment includes a first process of concentrating boron-containing water to obtain boron-concentrated liquid. Further, the method includes a second process of making the boron-concentrated liquid to be brought into contact with a layered inorganic hydroxide, and making the layered inorganic hydroxide adsorb boron in the boron-concentrated liquid to remove boron.

Method for treating boron-containing water

The present embodiment relates to a method for recovering a boron adsorbent, including: preparing water having an electric resistivity of 0.01 M&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm or more and kept at a temperature within a temperature range; and contacting the water with the boron adsorbent to release boron adsorbed at the boron adsorbent.
