Then, before the ink-jet printer is assigned to the user, a printing operation is carried out by the printing head ( ) by using the colored liquid material ( ) and a character printed with the colored liquid material is observed to determine a printing function.

Method of subjecting ink jet printer to preuse treatment

A print head of a wire-dot printer and a production method thereof, in which superhard chips are attached to contact surfaces of an armature and a core by brazing. The superhard chips can be readily secured to the contact surfaces of the armature and the core and are hardly worn by repeated impacts between the armature and the core which makes it possible to maintain the initial print quality for a long time and to obtain excellent abrasion resistance and strength of the contact surfaces in comparison with a conventional superhard film. It is not necessary to perform a grinding processing of the superhard chips with high accuracy after deposition thereof, and thus the thickness of the superhard chips can be readily controlled. As a result, production cost of the print head can be reduced.

Print head of wire-dot printer and production method thereof

A device for regulating swing resistance of swingable devices such as video cameras and/or motion picture cameras. A pair of right and left shoe members to be fixed to the swingable device are mounted on the body side. Elastic O rings are commonly fitted in the peripheral surfaces of the pair of shoe members and disposed such that the O rings can be contacted with and separated from the inner peripheral surface of a back plate filled with a viscous member. The contacting state of the O rings with the inner peripheral surface of the back plate is changed from a line contact to a plane contact by adjusting operation of a control member for spreading the pair of shoe members in order to steplessly regulate a swing resistance.

Swing resistance regulating device in a swing resistance device

A stylus actuator unit for dot matrix line printers in which each electromagnetic actuator drives each stylus. An armature is rockably supported by the electromagnetic actuator while fixing a stylus for printing to one end thereof and having at the other end thereof a plunger to be attracted by the electromagnetic actuator. At an intermediate between the stylus fixing end and the plunger fixing end of armature is provided an armature support member composed of a torison leaf spring which is supported by a yoke base mounted on the electromagnetic actuator. The torsion leaf spring has a configuration of the letter E and both side portions are fixed to the yoke base and the central portion supports the armature. When the electromagnetic actuator attracts the plunger, the armature on the side of the stylus is driven in the opposite direction to the direction of attraction, thereby enabling the stylus to impact to the paper placed over the outer periphery of the platen.

Print head for dot matrix printers

A print head for a dot-type printer has a nose having a wire point guide thereon and a plurality of print wires slidably guided in the wire point guide, and a nose base contacting surface thereon, a solenoid base having a magnetic system for moving the respective print wires selectively for causing the point ends of the wires to move outwardly from the wire point guide for printing on a platen, and a nose base having a nose contacting surface in opposed relation to the nose base contacting surface on the nose, and having a solenoid base contacting surface in opposed relation to the solenoid base and having a mounting device for mounting the print head on a carriage. A spacer is engaged between the nose base contacting surface and the nose contacting surface for adjusting the distance the wire ends extend from the front of the wire point guide, a further spacer is engaged between the solenoid base and the solenoid base contacting surface for adjusting the distance of the wire ends from the carriage, and a leaf spring is removably engaged between the nose and the nose base for holding the nose and the nose base together.
