The image display apparatus is capable of receiving a first video signal and image data. The apparatus includes a first electronic zoom processing part performing first electronic zoom processing on the first video signal to output a first electronic zoom processed video signal of a predetermined resolution, a video converting part converting the image data into a second video signal, a second electronic zoom processing part performing second electronic zoom processing on the second video signal to output a second electronic zoom processed video signal of the predetermined resolution, and a displaying part displaying an image corresponding to each of the first and second electronic zoom processed video signals. The second electronic zoom processed video signal output from the second electronic zoom processing part is input to the displaying part through the first electronic zoom processing part without being subjected to the first electronic zoom processing.

Image display apparatus

A display for displaying an image on the basis of input image data includes an image adjusting unit configured to perform adjustment processing on the input image data and an image detecting unit configured to detect a first image data segment matching a predetermined condition in the input image data. The image detecting unit performs the adjustment processing on the basis of the first image data segment.

Display and display system

A projection type image display device includes a plurality of image display elements that perform modulation of light rays in accordance with an image signal, a color synthesizing optical element for synthesizing light rays having mutually different wavelength ranges that have been modulated by these image display elements by use of a dichroic membrane, lens groups having a positive refractive power as a whole that are disposed between the image display element and the color synthesizing optical element, and a projection optical system for projecting an image synthesized by the color synthesizing optical element. The projection type image display device further includes a storage circuit for storing data used to correct the brightness irregularity of a projected image, and a brightness irregularity correcting circuit for correcting brightness irregularity of a projected image on the basis of the data stored in the storage circuit.

Projection type image display device

Controlling each of a plurality of serially connected electronic apparatuses without increasing the number of signal lines is provided. In an electronic apparatus, from among a plurality of electronic apparatuses serially connected to a computer, a control command signal and first and second control signals can be transmitted/received, and the transmission/reception of the control command signal is integrally controlled. The electronic apparatus provides the first control signal. The provided first control signal is output to an electronic apparatus to be connected at an immediately preceding stage of connection via a second input/output unit to be connected to that electronic apparatus. It is then determined whether or not the second control signal has been input in response to the output of the first control signal. When it has been determined that the second control signal has not been input, the computer is notified that the concerned electronic apparatus is at a last stage of connection via a first input/output unit to be connected to an electronic apparatus provided at an immediately preceding stage of connection.

Communication method of a serially connected electronic apparatus

In a system when a camera head and a signal processing unit connected to each other, the signal processing unit inputs a synchronizing signal from an external device, and transmits reference signals, such as a clock signal, horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals based on the input synchronizing signal to the camera head. Further, the signal processing unit controls the camera head so as to select a predetermined signal and output it via a predetermined signal line. When the predetermined signal received by the signal processing unit, the signal processing unit detects phase difference between phase of the predetermined signal and one of the reference signals corresponding to the predetermined signal, and shifts the one of the reference signals so that the phase difference reduces. Thereby, the camera head and the signal processing unit are synchronized.

Method for establishing synchronization in head-detachable image sensing system, and image sensing system adopting the method

An image sensing system configured with a camera head-detachable image sensing apparatus and an image processing apparatus connected via a cable. The image processing apparatus generates a reference clock signal, and transmits it to the image sensing apparatus via the cable. The image sensing apparatus generates horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals on the basis of the received reference clock signal, and transmits the generated synchronizing signals to the image processing apparatus as a composite synchronizing signal. The image processing apparatus separates the composite synchronizing signal into the vertical and horizontal synchronizing signals, then transmits a control signal for controlling the image sensing apparatus during the vertical blanking period. The horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals are also provided to a VIDS circuit of the image sensing apparatus, and the control signal is multiplexed to an image signal during a vertical blanking period by the VIDS circuit and an adder. The image processing system separates the control signal from the inputted image signal and performs corresponding processes on the respective separated signal.
