The content of the thermoplastic elastomer (A) in the resin composition is 70% to 95% by mass. The content of the lubricant (B) in the resin composition is 5% to 15% by mass. The content of the (b)-(a)-(b)-type isobutylene triblock copolymer in the resin composition is 50% to 95% by mass. The content of the polymer blocks (a) in the (b)-(a)-(b)-type isobutylene triblock copolymer is 80% to 90% by mass. The content of the polymer blocks (b) in the (b)-(a)-(b)-type isobutylene triblock copolymer is 10% to 20% by mass.

The ink-contacting thermoplastic elastomer composition for an ink jet printer of the present invention contains: a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer (SIS) in which at least part of isoprene blocks are formed of 3,4-polyisoprene; a styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene block copolymer (SEBS); a polyolefin; and a polybutene.

Ink-contacting thermoplastic elastomer composition for ink jet printer

Multiple grooves are formed along an inclination face of a prism-like part. A pitch of the grooves is smaller than the wavelength of light, specifically infrared light, used as a light source for detecting an ink amount. When sufficient amount of contained ink is consumed to expose the prism-like part, ink on the inclination face is held in the grooves due to their capillary force. At this time, if an amount of the ink exceeds the capacities of the grooves, no capillary force acts on the excessive ink. Accordingly, the excessive ink becomes an ink pool and slides down to an ink surface. Since the face provided with the grooves at the pitch smaller than the wavelength of the detection light source serves as a plane face optically, detection with high reliability is made possible.

Liquid container

A reliable ink cartridge that reduce printing nonconformity even during high speed inkjet-recording with multiple nozzles by alleviating rapid external impact applied from the outside of the ink cartridge. Within a casing of an ink cartridge, a flexible bag forming an ink reservoir is accommodated. Between the surface of the flexible bag where a sheet member is bonded and a wall surface of the casing, a stress damping chamber is provided. The stress damping chamber communicates with the atmosphere outside the ink cartridge via an orifice formed on a wall surface of the casing.

There is disclosed an ink tank capable of inhibiting penetration of a gas even in an ink storage section made of a resin, having such a flexibility as to easily apply a negative pressure to ink, having an excellent resource protective property and applicable even to a small and inexpensive ink jet recording device having a large degree of freedom in design. In the ink tank for the ink jet recording device having the ink storage section made of a plastic, the ink storage section has a coating layer including a liquid retaining member capable of retaining ink on an inner surface or an outer surface thereof. The liquid retaining member can include a foam material, a fiber material or a gel-like substance. In the ink storage section, the liquid retaining member included in the coating layer including the liquid retaining member capable of retaining the ink on the outer surface thereof includes a moisture adsorbent which adsorbs a moisture.

Ink tank for ink jet recording device

The present invention provides an ink jet cartridge configured such that an absorber is housed in one space while ink is accommodated in the other space, the ink jet cartridge keeping the ink sealed during distribution. The ink jet cartridge has an ink tank portion that accommodates ink, a print head portion that ejects the accommodated ink, and an ink supply path connected between the ink tank portion and the print head portion.
