A surgical robot includes an arm configured to allow a medical device to be attached thereto, and an operation unit supported by the arm. The operation unit includes a joystick configured to operate movement of the medical device by the arm.

In a surgical robot, an operation unit includes an enable switch and an operation tool configured to control a moving direction of an arm, and the enable switch and the operation tool are arranged apart from each other within a range operable by fingers of one hand of an operator in the operation unit.

A hip joint structure of a robot includes a pair of thigh base-end members and a pillar-shaped pelvis member disposed so as to be sandwiched between the pair of thigh base-end members. A flange part is formed in each of left and right end parts in a front surface of the pelvis member, and each of left and right end parts in a rear surface of the pelvis member by a recess extending in the vertical direction. The flange part is fastened to the thigh base-end member by a fastening member.
