A first fit portion and a second fit portion of an inner ring according to the invention have a spring property. Therefore, the first and second fit portions may be flexed radially outward by elasticity thereof and then fitted to a shaft. Thus, the inner ring is tightly fitted to the shaft with a set interference with respect to the shaft. Accordingly, it is easy to fit/remove the inner ring to/from the shaft. Therefore, an outer peripheral face of the shaft is pushed radially inward by elasticity of the first and second fit portions, that is, the inner ring is tightly fitted to the shaft, without reducing the ease of fitting/removing the inner ring to/from the shaft. As a result, it is possible to minimize generation of creep.

A turbocharger includes a turbine wheel having a center hole and a turbine shaft having one end secured on a small-diameter inner circumferential surface of the center hole. A large-diameter inner circumferential surface and a large diameter outer circumferential surface are formed to provide a cylindrical clearance opening toward a bearing housing between the center hole and the outer circumferential surface of the turbine shaft.

A supercharger includes a housing, and a turbine shaft supported in a center hole in the housing through rolling bearings. Lubricating oil for the rolling bearings exists only within the housing. A cooling water jacket is provided within a body portion of the housing over a region from one axial end portion of the body portion to the other axial end portion thereof.

A turbocharger includes a housing, and a turbine shaft supported in a center hole in the housing through rolling bearings. A tank portion for storing lubrication oil is formed in the housing, and the lubricating oil is supplied from the tank portion to the rolling bearings through wick members extending from the tank portion respectively to the rolling bearings. The wick member includes a bundle of fibers made of a plastics material, and a distal end portion thereof is separated into a fibrous condition, and this distal end portion is held in contact with the bearing. The lubricating oil is supplied to the bearing by a capillary action of the wick member.
