A wireless communication apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a wireless transceiver which conducts communication with another wireless communication apparatus using a channel belonging to a first band of a plurality of frequency bands, and a switching unit which switches the channel being used by the wireless transceiver to a different channel of a second band of the plurality of frequency bands other than the first band.

A telephone system capable of judging kinds of various signals (line input signals) obtained through a line is disclosed, that enables reduction of the number of parts, detection with high accuracy, reduction of a mounting area, and reduction in costs. The telephone system includes an A/D converter for making A/D conversion of the line input signal such as a CPC signal, a bell signal, and a usage state signal indicating a telephone line usage state to output a digital line input signal, and a frequency analyzing unit for making frequency analysis of the digital signal converted by the A/D converter, and the central processing unit judges the kind of the line input signal based on a result of the frequency analyzing unit.

Telephone system

An automatic telephone answering apparatus sends an out-going message recorded in a memory through a telephone line and records in-coming messages in another in-coming message memory. In addition, the apparatus records a conversation between an operator and a partner. The apparatus includes a line status detector that detects the status of the telephone line and a controller that is responsive to the line status detector for effecting a predetermined preparation operation. The apparatus further includes a control mechanism for detecting an area of the in-coming message memory where in-coming messages are stored and detecting an empty area of the in-coming message memory. The controller effects the preparation operation by causing the control mechanism to detect the empty area.

Automatic telephone answering apparatus including conversion recording

An automatic answering telephone apparatus for sending an out-going message through a telephone line and recording at least one incoming message on a magnetic tape using a tape recorder which can record a conversation between an operator and a conversation partner on the magnetic tape not in the automatic answering mode, the tape recorder further having rewinding, fast-forward winding and stop functions, and including: a position detector for detecting a tape travelling position; a memory for storing the detected tape traveling position such as to store the detected tape travelling position of the end of the latest incoming massage; a line status detector for detecting a change in status of the telephone line; and a controller responsive to an output of the line status detector, the detected tape travelling position, and the stored tape travelling position for positioning the magnetic tape to the stored tape travelling position using the fast-forward winding and the stop functions when the line status detector detects the change. The change may be caused by a ring signal, off-hook action, or busy state of the telephone line. The positioning may be carried out when rewinding or reproducing is being performed.
