This invention intends to produce a model natural to see in which visual characteristics of an object are reflected upon its form. This invention provides with a modifying unit for modifying at least a part of 3-dimensional form data based on 2-dimensional image data obtained by photographing the object. The modifying unit extracts a specified area from the 2-dimensional image data according to a setting condition and modifies a part of the 3-dimensional form data corresponding to that specified area. According to the modified 3-dimensional form data, a model is produced. As an object for photographing, for example, the head of the human being is used. In this case, the specified area corresponds to at least one of the hair, forehead, eyebrows, eyes, irises and lips.

When the user inputs at least four points that designates the path on the surface of a three-dimensional shape represented by three-dimensional shape data, groups of three points in which two points are commonly included in two groups are formed from the input points. Each group of three points defines a plane including the three points. The line of intersection of each plane and the surface of the three-dimensional shape is obtained to calculate lengths of the line of intersection between the adjacent two points of the three points in each of the groups. Two lengths between the two points that are commonly included in two groups along two different lines of intersection are obtained for one length of the path between the two points. As a result, the average of the two lengths is estimated as the length of the path between the two points. The total length of the path is obtained according to the estimated lengths and lengths along lines of intersection.

In accordance with the detected curvature, interpolative and expansional processing to the picked up image data is executed. Focus detecting device

A camera with a multi-zone focus detecting device has an objective lens mounted on a camera. An image formed by the objective lens is divided into a plurality of zones. In each zone, a focusing condition is detected based on the image formed by the objective lens so as to produce a plurality of focusing condition data. Based on the result of the focusing conditions, one zone is selected. Furthermore, a light which has passed through the objective lens is measured separately in each zone so as to produce a plurality of measured light data. Based on a focusing condition data obtained from the selected zone, the objective lens is driven to an infocus condition. When the objective lens is driven to the infocus condition, a measured light data obtained from the selected zone is used for calculating exposure data with which the exposure is controlled.

A focus condition detecting device which eliminates a wasteful operation thereof to obtain optical results of detection in a shortest period of time and wherein it can be discriminated correctly depending upon data read from a lens regarding an exit pupil of the lens whether or not detection of a focus condition is possible. The device comprises an optical means which forms a plurality of pairs of light images from beams of light from pairs of areas of an exit pupil plane of an interchangeable lens. Relative displacements between the light images are detected by a plurality of focus condition detecting means. Data regarding optical characteristics of the lens are read from the lens, and in accordance with the data thus read, those ones of the focus condition detecting means for which detection of a focus condition is possible are selected from an optical relationship between the optical means and the exit pupil of the lens. An in-focus condition is finally determined from focus condition signals produced from the selected focus condition detecting means.

Focus condition detecting device

An image sensor system for sensing an image of an object includes a plurality of image sensor arrays. Each array comprises photoelectric converting elements arranged to receive the object image and accumulation cells coupled to each photoelectric converting element for accumulating charges produced from the photoelectric converting element. A buffer memory cells are coupled respectively to the accumulation cells for temporarily storing the accumulated charges shifted from the accumulation cells in response to the completion of the charge accumulation in each array. A shift register is provided to receive accumulated charges from the buffer memory cells in every one of the arrays after all the arrays complete the charge accumulation. The accumulated charges stored in the shift register are then sequentially outputted.

The aperture value is determined based on the magnitude of the prescribed aperture value in association with the maximum aperture value, the information of the shutter speed and on the exposure value.
