A robot operating device is mounted to a robot. The robot is capable of performing a motion by means of lead-through control in which a force applied by an operator is detected and a position and an orientation are changed in accordance with the detected force and the robot operating device including: a bracket that is secured to a flange at a distal end of the robot and with which an elongated tool is attached at a decentered position with respect to a rotation axis of the flange so as to be parallel to a plane containing the rotation axis; and two handles that are secured to the bracket and that are respectively grasped by two hands of the operator, wherein the handle is disposed in the plane so as to extend in a direction along a longitudinal axis of the tool, and the handle is disposed in a vicinity of the tool so as to extend in a direction intersecting the plane.

Provided is an arm structure of an industrial robot in which the same wrist element is enabled to have a plurality of types of characteristics, thus allowing a variation model to be readily implemented. An arm structure of an industrial robot with a plurality of wrist elements, the arm structure being provided with, in a housing: a first motor and a second motor that drive the plurality of wrist elements respectively; a first gear that is attached to a first output shaft of the first motor and has an external diameter equal to that of the first output shaft; and a second gear that is attached to a second output shaft of the second motor and has an external diameter equal to that of the second output shaft. The second motor is disposed in front of the first motor and is disposed such that the axis of the second output shaft is laterally offset with respect to the axis of the first output shaft. A space portion is provided to the rear of each of the first motor and the second motor.

Arm structure of industrial robot

A robot includes a base having an interior space and a first opening portion, a turning drum supported and rotatable around a predetermined rotation axis, a cable distributing board capable of being detachably fixed at a position for closing the first opening portion which is placed at a position on an extending line of the rotation axis, and an inside cable one end of which is provided with a connector fixed to the cable distributing board. The turning drum has a through hole which penetrates through the turning drum in a direction along the rotation axis. A part of the inside cable between a first cable clamp and a second cable clamp is fixed in such a manner that bending deformation and twisting deformation due to rotation of the turning drum with respect to the base are caused in the part of the inside cable.

Provided is an industrial robot in which a gear for causing a work tool to rotate can easily be retrofitted to a robot without requiring work to adjust backlash. The present invention comprises: a first wrist element that, at the distal end of a front arm of a robot, is capable of rotating about a first axis following the longitudinal direction of the front arm; a second wrist element that, at the first wrist element, is capable of rotating about a second axis intersecting the first axis in a roughly perpendicular manner; a third wrist element that, at the second wrist element, is capable of rotating about a third axis extending from the intersection point of the first and second axes in a direction roughly perpendicular to the direction in which the second axis extends; a first gear that is attached to the third wrist element coaxially with the third axis and that is capable of rotating about the third axis; a second gear that is driven by rotation of the first gear due to meshing with the first gear and that is capable of rotating; and a case secured to the second wrist element. The second gear is attached to the case via a bearing so as to be capable of rotating about a fourth axis positioned at a prescribed distance relative to the third axis.

Industrial robot with retrofittable gear

A robot in which two members constituting a joint shaft and supported in a relatively movable manner are each provided with a V-shaped groove having two sloped inner surfaces intersecting each other at a linear groove bottom extending orthogonally to a movement direction, or a V-shaped protrusion having two sloped outer surfaces intersecting each other at a linear ridge extending orthogonally to the movement direction. When the two members of the joint shaft are disposed in a predetermined operational position, the groove bottoms, the ridges, or the groove bottom and the ridge are disposed in alignment with each other.

A robot is provided with a first base, a robot arm having a rotation arm member, and a second base. A bottom end portion of the first base is fixed to an upper end portion of the second base using a fixing member, the rotation arm member includes an arm member opening, the second base includes an upper surface having an upper opening and a side surface having a side opening, the rotation arm member and the first base are configured to allow the conduit containing the welding wire and introduced into an interior of the rotation arm member through the arm member opening to reach the upper opening, the side opening allows the conduit introduced into an interior of the second base through the upper opening to come out of the second base.

A sensor bracket is provided with frame members supporting an acceleration sensor, the frame members having circular arc members holding an outer periphery of a tool of a robot in a state in which circumferential-direction gaps are defined in at least one portion of the circular arc members in a circumferential direction, and a bolt thread-screwed into the frame members so as to reduce the circumferential-direction gaps.

A calibration method for a laser processing robot, including: fixing a jig that includes a target-site to a base of the laser processing robot; placing a laser processing tool at a position where a laser beam is scanned with respect to the target-site, the laser processing tool having a function for two-dimensionally scanning the laser beam and a function for receiving the laser beam reflected at an object and for measuring a distance to the object; measuring distances to respective portions of the target-site by scanning the laser beam; calculating a coordinate transformation function for converting a position and orientation of the target-site, which is obtained based on the measured distances to the respective portions of the target-site, into an actual position and orientation of the target-site; and correcting a tool-center-point of the laser processing tool by the coordinate transformation function.

A robot wrist structure includes a first wrist element that is supported by a forearm in a rotatable manner about a first axis; a second wrist element that is supported by the first wrist element in a rotatable manner about a second axis that is orthogonal to the first axis; and a third wrist element that is supported by the second wrist element in a rotatable manner about a third axis that is orthogonal to the second axis and that is disposed in the same plane as the first axis. The second-member includes a first-portion rotatably supported by the first-member, a second-portion that fixes the end of the wire, and a third portion serially connected between the second-portion and the first-portion, and the third portion has an inner circumferential surface that faces the gap and has been subjected to a friction reducing process.

A robot includes: a base; a swivel body supported rotatable about a first axis; a first arm supported rotatable about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis; a second arm supported rotatable about a third axis parallel to the second axis; and a first wrist element supported rotatable about a fourth axis perpendicular to the third axis and disposed in a same plane as the first axis. A first hollow section penetrating along the first axis is provided in the base and the swivel body; a second hollow section penetrating along the fourth axis is provided in the first wrist element; the first and second arms have shapes allowing a linear object having passed through the first hollow section to be guided to the second hollow section via a space extending along a line connecting intersections of the first and second axes and the third and fourth axes.
