A method of magnetizing a permanent magnet motor involves inserting a spacer in between multi-layered windings ( Ua and Va) wound on a plurality of magnetic pole teeth when magnetizing an unmagnetized magnet ( ), and removing the inserted spacer ( A) after finishing the magnetization. The spacer ( A) is also inserted in a space between two stator windings ( Ua, Va; Ub, Vb) wound on two magnetic pole teeth adjacent to each other, a magnet material is magnetized by electrifying the stator windings with a direct current in a state of the spacer ( A) being inserted, a permanent magnet is thus formed, and the spacer ( A) is removed after finishing the magnetization.

A permanent magnetic rotor is disclosed, which comprises a rotor iron core constructed of a large number of steel plates being layered, each of the steel plates peripherally defining a plurality of sector-shaped blanked holes, and sector-shaped permanent magnetic pieces inserted into the blanked holes, wherein each of the steel plates comprises an outer peripheral ring portion formed on an outer side of the blanked hole, a yoke portion formed on an inner side of the blanked hole, a connect portion formed between the outer peripheral ring portion and the yoke portion, and thin and long fitting protrusions formed at corner portions of the blanked hole in the vicinity of the connect portion, the fitting protrusions protruding to the magnet insertion hole, the fitting protrusions being fitted to the permanent magnetic piece so as to pressure and fix the permanent magnetic piece.

A rotator element for an electric motor is formed with a cylindrical core body which is to be rotated by a rotary filed produced by a winding of the electric mortor and a plurality of magnets. The core body is substantially made of stacked disc-shaped plates, each of which has cutout portions arranged on the circumference areas so that the cylindrical core body is provided with holes when the disc-shaped plates are stacked. The magnets are inserted in the holes. For smooth insertion in the hole, each of magnets has a cutaway portion. The cutaway portion is projected or extended from the hole. A ring body is placed on the outermost side of stacked disc plates so that the outer surface of said ring body is substantially conform to the surface of said core body and the inner surface of said ring body is opposed to said cutaway portions of the magnets.

Rotator element for electric motor

A rotator element for an electric motor is formed with a cylindrical core body which is to be rotated by a rotary field produced by a winding of the electric motor and plurality of magnets. The core body is made of stacked disc-shaped plates, each of which has a cutout portion arranged on its circumference areas so as to form a hole through said core body when the plates are stacked. The core body has a thin wall portion provided on its circumferential surface facing said winding, wherein a part of the wall portion is projected to said hole. The permanent magnets inserted in the holes are firmly fixed by the projected portion.

A position detector detects the position of a rotor of a brushless motor. A driving signal generator generates a driving signal at a timing corresponding to the detected position. While the driving signal is received, a driving circuit sequentially ON/OFF-operates switching elements of an inverter circuit. At this time, a rotational speed detector detects a rotational speed of the brushless motor. A rotational speed controller controls the duty of ON/OFF operations of the switching elements, performed by the driving circuit, through a chopper signal generator in accordance with the difference between a detected rotational speed and a designated rotational speed. If the detected rotational speed does not reach the designated rotational speed even when the duty becomes a preset value or more, the rotational speed controller generates a phase shift signal for advancing the phase of the driving signal from that of a driving signal in a normal operation, and supplies it to the driving signal generator. Upon this phase shift operation, in the brushless motor, a magnetic flux effectively acting from the rotor to armature windings is reduced as compared with a magnetic flux in a normal operation. Thus, the rotational speed of the brushless motor can be reliably set to a desired value without decreasing the operation efficiency.
