The disclosure provides a cleaning blade having a blade portion. The blade portion has a blade tip equipped with an edge constituted by a ridge line between the tip surface the blade portion and a blade surface arranged near a photosensitive drum. The blade portion satisfies the following expressions: a&#x2264;50 &#x3bc;m, and 0.1&#x2264;b/a&#x2264;0.6 where, when the blade portion is viewed along blade longitudinal direction with the edge in sliding contact with the photosensitive drum for measurement rotating in one direction, a represents a maximum amplitude of the edge which vibrates with the rotation of the photosensitive drum for measurement, and b represents a maximum amplitude when a position separated from the edge by 200 &#x3bc;m on the blade surface of the blade tip vibrates with the oscillation of the edge.

Cleaning blade

Provided is a cleaning blade. The cleaning blade is used for removing remaining toner which remains on a surface of the target member in an electrophotographic apparatus. The cleaning blade is provided with the blade portion having the edge portion which comes into sliding contact with the target member. The edge portion includes: a substrate of the blade portion; an inner layer extending from a surface of the substrate to the inside of the substrate; and an outer layer extending from a surface of the substrate to an outer outside of the substrate. The inner layer contains at least an acrylic resin or a methacrylate resin, and has a thickness of less than 1 &#x3bc;m. The outer layer contains at least an acrylic resin or a methacrylate resin, and has a thickness of 0.02 &#x3bc;m or less.

The disclosure shows a cleaning blade for electrophotographic equipment, the cleaning blade through which both high hardness and low warping are obtained and excellent toner scraping properties are realized. The cleaning blade () includes a blade part () comprising a cured material of a urethane composition containing a polyol, an isocyanate, and a crosslinker or a chain extender. The content of the isocyanate is 28.0 mass % or more with respect to the entire composition. The crosslinker or the chain extender comprises a triol having a molecular weight of 150 or less. The content of the crosslinker or the chain extender is 4.0 mass % or less with respect to the entire composition. The content of the triol having a molecular weight of 150 or less is 0.8 mass % or more with respect to the entire composition.

Cleaning blade for electrophotographic equipment

To provide a composition for a cleaning blade for an electrophotographic apparatus, and a cleaning blade for an electrophotographic apparatus that are capable of suppressing wear, chipping, curling, and contamination. A urethane composition contains (a) a polyester polyol, (b) a polyisocyanate, and (c) a modified silicone oil, wherein the (c) modified silicone oil contains a polysiloxane block and an alkylene oxide block, the alkylene oxide block having a hydroxyl group protected by a protecting group, and the (c) modified silicone oil has no hydroxyl group. A cleaning blade is made of a molding of the urethane composition and contains a polyurethane elastomer and the (c) modified silicone oil.
