A transfer device having high productivity and is compact. The present invention uses cross bars that have a blank attachment member that are suitable for transferring large blank materials that, prior to processing, do not have rigidity. These large blank materials have a tendency to sag in the center and are difficult to transport. The present invention also jointly uses fingers that are suitable for rapid transport of blank materials that, after processing, are molded and have rigidity.

Transfer device

A transfer device combines an advance-return drive mechanism and a clamp-unclamp drive mechanism. The transfer device operates from only one side of a press to position both drive mechanisms above a pair of feed bars thereby greatly reducing spatial constraints and costs and enabling an increase in speed. The feed bars operate to process a work piece along a process direction. The feed bars are cantilevered from the transfer device for easy use with a press, raw materials feeder, and product gatherer.

Transfer device for a press

A plurality of shuttle bars are guided in a feed direction below a guide body. The shuttle bars are spaced to fit between a plurality of conveyor belts which transport a sheet of material suspended below them toward a press. The guide body is lowered to move the shuttle bars far enough between the conveyor belts to disengage the sheet of material from the conveyor belts. The shuttle bars each includes a device for attachment to the sheet of material, whereby the sheet of material is conveyed the remainder of the way to the press attached to the shuttle bars.

Material transport device

In a large-scale network having a plurality of apparatuses to-be-managed, and a managing apparatus which manages the apparatuses to-be-managed; the apparatus to-be-managed comprises a number-of-times-of-status-changes information update unit which updates the cumulative number of times of status changes, and a number-of-times-of-status-changes information storage unit which stores therein the cumulative number of times of status changes as updated by the number-of-times-of-status-changes information update unit; and the managing apparatus comprises a number-of-times-of-status-changes information acquisition unit which acquires the number-of-times-of-status-changes information from the number-of-times-of-status-changes information storage unit, a status change decision unit which decides whether any status change is present or absent, in accordance with the numbers of times of status changes as acquired from the number-of-times-of-status-changes information acquisition unit, and a status information acquisition unit which acquires status information from the apparatus to-be-managed in a case where the presence of the status change has been decided by the status change decision unit.

Method and apparatus for managing a large scale network including apparatuses to be managed

An apparatus for operating feed bars to move a workpiece between stages of a pressing machine includes cylinder devices. Each of the cylinder devices serves to move the feed bars linearly and each has a respective absolute encoder. The cylinder devices include a feed cylinder device which is responsive to hydraulic pressure to linearly advance and return the feed bars. First and second clamp cylinder devices are responsive to hydraulic pressure to move the feed bars linearly so as to clamp and unclamp the workpiece between the feed bars A hydraulic pressure supply circuit is connected commonly to each of the cylinder devices. Hydraulic pressure is applied to the cylinder devices through respective servo valves of a hydraulic valve arrangement. The servo valves are selectively actuatable to apply the hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic pressure supply circuit to drive the associated cylinder device, and thus the feed bars, with a predetermined stroke and at a predetermined speed in response to a feedback signal from the absolute encoder of the associated cylinder device. A driver control device controls the hydraulic valve arrangement so that the servo valves are actuated in a predetermined sequence. In this way, the feed bars are actuated directly for linear movements with minimum energy.

Transfer driver for pressing machine

In a transfer press having feed bars and a press drive, an improved feed bar driving apparatus has a vertical rod reciprocally movable in association with the press drive and having a threaded portion, a drive means to the vertical rod means for rotating the vertical rod means in opposite directions, a feed screw device connected to the threaded portion of the vertical rod for being rotated by the vertical rod in opposite directions by rotation and reciprocation of the vertical rod, a pair of feed bar receptacles slidably supporting the feed bars and connected to the feed screw device for being moved toward and away from each other when the feed screw device is rotated in respective opposite directions for moving the feed bars in a clamping and unclamping movement, a cam rotatable in assocation with the press drive, a lever mounted on a fulcrum and connected to the vertical rod and in contact with the cam for being pivoted around the fulcrum by the cam for moving the vertical rod through a stroke, and a stroke adjusting mechanism connected to the fulcrum for changing the position of the fulcrum for selectively adjusting the stroke of the vertical rod and thereby adjusting the stroke of the feed bars.

Apparatus for clamping and unclamping feed bars for a transfer press

Feed bar advance and return driving apparatus for a transfer press. An upper slider is reciprocally vertically movable in the press crown in synchronization with the operation of the press, and a pinion rotatably mounted on the upper slider is rotated alternatingly in opposite directions with the upward and downward vertical movement of the upper slider. A drive rack vertically slidably supported on the upper slider is connected to the pinion at a position on the pinion which is eccentric to the axis of rotation of the pinion and is reciprocally vertically driven by the rotation of the pinion. The lower end of the drive rack extends downwardly and engages a drive pinion for rotating the drive pinion alternatingly in opposite directions during the reciprocal vertical motion of the drive rack. A drive lever connected to the drive pinion at a position eccentric to the axis of rotation of the drive pinion and pivotally mounted on the press is driven in a swinging motion and is connected to a lower slider for supporting feed bars of the press to drive the lower slider in advancing and returning directions.
