Filter device utilizing returned fuel to prolong filter life

A fuel-filtering device is disposed inside a fuel tank for filtering a fuel. The fuel-filtering device includes a filter body having a bag shape and a communication hole, and is formed of a plurality of laminated filter layers. The laminated filter layers includes an outside filter layer formed of a woven mesh, an inside filter layer formed of a non-woven fabric, and at least one intermediate filter layer disposed between the outside filter layer and the inside filter layer and formed of a non-woven fabric. The filter body is formed of at least one of a polyethylene fiber and a polypropylene fiber and has mesh sizes decreasing from the outside filter layer toward the inside filter layer.

Fuel-filtering device

A strainer device for a fuel tank includes a sucking passage member provided with a passage opened in the fuel tank; a filtering member attached to the sucking passage member for covering a hole of the passage; and a conduit connecting portion extending outside the fuel tank for connecting a conduit for guiding fuel passing through the filtering member. The conduit connecting member is attached to the sucking passage member, so that a concave portion is formed at a connecting portion for receiving a check valve for preventing the fuel from flowing back from outside of the fuel tank.

Strainer device for fuel tank

A leak detecting system detects fuel gas leakage of a fuel tank. The detecting system includes a fuel pump, a jet pump, and a bent valve, which are disposed in the fuel tank. A fuel flow path system includes a relief line connected to the fuel pump for relieving an excess fuel, a relief flow path switching valve disposed in the relief line, and a sub-line for connecting the switching valve and the vent valve. An air flow path system includes a first air flow line to connect the vent valve to a canister, a second air flow line for connecting the first air flow line to the jet pump, and an air flow switching valve for switching communication between the first and second air flow lines. An inner pressure sensor is provided to the fuel tank for detecting an inner pressure of the fuel tank.

Fuel evaporation gas leakage detecting system and method of detecting fuel evaporation gas leakage

A fuel tank connector for connecting a fuel tank and a pipe in communicating fashion includes a gas barrier member made of a synthetic resin and having a gas barrier property. The gas barrier member includes a tubular portion and a flanged portion provided on a peripheral side of the tubular portion, which extends beyond an opening of the fuel tank. The gas barrier member is made of a liquid crystal polymer, aromatic polyamide, a blended polymer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and high-density polyethylene, a blended polymer of polyamide and polyethylene, or a blended polymer of polyamide and high-density polyethylene.

Fuel tank connector

A connector for a fuel tank includes a flange portion, an outer connecting portion to be connected to a pipe member and an inner connecting portion to be inserted into a fuel tank through a connecting opening of the fuel tank. The inner connecting portion has an engaging portion to be engaged with an engaged portion provided to a member when the member is to be disposed in the fuel tank. The flange portion includes an outer flange member made of a synthetic resin same as that of an outer surface of the fuel tank, and an inner flange member made of a synthetic resin having a gas barrier property and a rigidity higher than that of the synthetic resin constituting the outer flange member. The inner connecting portion and the inner flange member are made of the same material.

A fuel tank connector for connecting a fuel tank and a pipe in communicating fashion includes a gas barrier member made of a synthetic resin and having a gas barrier property. The gas barrier member includes a tubular portion and a flanged portion provided on a peripheral side of the tubular portion, which extends beyond an opening of the fuel tank. The gas barrier member is made of a liquid crystal polymer, aromatic polyamide, a blended polymer of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and high-density polyethylene, a blended polymer of polyamide and polyethylene, a blended polymer of polyamide and high-density polyethylene.

A fuel supply apparatus has a sub tank inside a main tank that stores a fuel, and a jet pump nozzle inside the sub tank. A part of the fuel taken in from the sub tank to be supplied to an engine is sprayed from a tip of the jet pump nozzle. The fuel inside the main tank is drawn into the sub tank from a bottom part by a negative pressure caused by the jet pump nozzle. A holding device for holding the jet pump nozzle in the sub tank is provided between the sub tank and the jet pump nozzle when the jet pump nozzle is inserted into the sub tank. Therefore, it becomes possible to assemble the jet pump nozzle and the fuel supply system in advance outside the sub tank, and after that, to attach that jet pump nozzle to the sub tank.

Fuel supply apparatus

A fuel supply apparatus includes a main tank and a fuel supply module. The fuel supply module includes a sub tank disposed inside the main tank, a supporting bracket attached to an inside of the sub tank to thereby support a fuel supply pump therein, and a jet pump which includes a jet pump nozzle and sucks a fuel inside the main tank into the sub tank from a bottom thereof by utilizing a generated negative pressure. The supporting bracket includes a jet pump passage, which is connected to the jet pump nozzle in case the sub tank is attached to the supporting bracket. The fuel in the sub tank is supplied to an engine by driving the fuel supply pump, and a part of the fuel is supplied to the jet pump through the jet pump passage to thereby generate the negative pressure therein.

Fuel supply apparatus and fuel supply module

A chamber structure is provided which is able to flow down fuel smoothly at a desired flow rate. A chamber main body is fixed onto an inner bottom 1a of a fuel tank of a vehicle, and a suction port of a fuel pump is inserted into an inside of the chamber main body. A through hole is formed in a peripheral wall of the chamber main body. A fuel tank side through hole for connecting an inside of the fuel tank and a negative pressure chamber being connected to the first through hole is arranged in a vicinity of the inner bottom of the fuel tank. An inlet port for passing return fuel into the inside of the fuel tank is faced to the negative pressure chamber. A recirculation funnel which has an upper end opening directed to the inside of the chamber main body at a position lower than an upper edge of the chamber main body is formed to extend upward from the negative pressure chamber. A peripheral length of the upper end opening of the recirculation funnel is set longer than that of the lower edge opening of the recirculation funnel directed to the negative pressure chamber.

Chamber structure

A fuel chamber provided in a fuel tank for an automotive vehicle in order to effectively prevent a temperature of a fuel within a fuel tank from ascending not so as to generate a vapor due to a fuel returned to the fuel chamber end from an engine is mainly disclosed. In a typical fuel chamber, a fuel chamber main body, a jet nozzle member having a front end portion inserted into a hole portion communicating an inner portion with an outer portion of the fuel chamber main body, a cover body forming a pressure reduction chamber decompressed in response to that the jet nozzle member injects a return fuel to the fuel chamber main body through the hole portion, and a tubular circulating member circulating a fuel within the fuel chamber main body are provided. The fuel stored within the fuel tank is introduced into the fuel chamber main body and the fuel within the fuel chamber main body is circulated in response to that the jet nozzle member injects the return fuel into the fuel chamber main body.

Fuel chamber for automotive vehicle

In a beverage container holder for a vehicle comprising a box-like member, a first holding member, and a second holding member, the box-like member comprises a floor and generally upstanding walls defining a compartment with an opening on its top, the first holding member extends across the opening of the box-like member and divides the compartment into two parts, and the second holding member is mounted to the first holding member and moveable between a relatively retracted position and a relatively extended position. Preferably the second holding member is pivotally connected to the first holding member so as to be rotatable between the relatively retracted and extended positions. This beverage container holder can be readily adjustable for receiving and holding beverage containers of various sizes by rotating the second holding member between the relatively retracted and extended positions.

An automobile ashtray device includes a housing open at the front end thereof, an ashtray body slidably disposed within the housing, a link mechanism including one pair of stays of equal length, a biasing device provided upon the link mechanism for elongating the link mechanism and biasing the ashtray body toward the opening of the housing, and a lock device for locking the ashtray body at an accommodated position within the housing against the biasing force of the biasing device. The stays are pivoted to each other in a manner having the configuration of the figure X and each of the stays has one end connected to the housing and the other end in contact with the ashtray body. The lock device is set releasable.

Automobile ashtray device

A device for mounting a window pane in a depression formed in a vehicle panel to enclose an area slightly larger than the area of the window pane includes a plastic fastener and a counter-fastener. The plastic fastener is set along the inner side surface of the depression. The counter-fastener is supported by the fastener to hold the edge of the window pane. The fastener is provided with an auxiliary member provided at a position corresponding to the corner of the depression for supporting the counter-fastener.
