A connector includes a cable including a plurality of core wires, a plurality of contacts, a body, a body cover housing the body, and an inner mold part. The plurality of contacts are respectively connected to ends, on one side, of the plurality of core wires of the cable. The body includes a plurality of first grooves that have an arc shape on a section orthogonal to an extending direction of the core wires and respectively support the ends, on one side, of the core wires in a contact state. The body cover includes a plurality of lines of rails on an inner side surface thereof, the plurality of lines of rails respectively having second grooves and being extended in parallel with the extending direction of the core wires, the second grooves having an arc shape on the section orthogonal to the extending direction of the core wires.

Connector with plate and shell

A connector includes a shell and a case firmly connected to each other. The connector includes a contact, a contact holder holding the contact, a metal shell accommodating the contact holder and a resin case accommodating the shell. A stopper is provided to be inserted into a first hole portion formed in the case and a second hole portion formed in the shell. The second hole portion has a same shape as the first hole portion and is overlapped with the first hole portion.

A terminal including a first fixable portion, a second fixable portion, a joining portion, and a first contacting portion. The first fixable portion has a dimension in a second direction, the dimension allowing the first fixable portion to be fixed to a first portion of an accommodation hole of a body. The second fixable portion is spaced from the first fixable portion in a first direction and has a dimension in the second direction allowing the second fixable portion to be fixed to a second portion of the accommodation hole. Provided is a connector having a double shielded construction, which connector, though simple in its configuration, can improve the EMI characteristics reliably. The connector includes a contact to be electrically connected to a connecting object, a first insulating member having a front end portion to which the connecting object is connected and a rear end portion opposed to the front end portion, the first insulating member holding the contact, a first metal member covering the first insulating member, a second insulating member holding the first metal member, and a second metal member covering the first metal member and the second insulating member. The first metal member forms a bulging portion which bulges outwards from an outer face of the rear end portion, thus being in contact with the second metal member.

Provided is a connector free from such inadvertent withdrawal or slip-out of the shell from the main body during insertion or drawing-out of the connection object. The connector includes a contact to be electrically connected to a connection object, a main body holding the contact, and a shell covering the main body. The main body includes a first end portion on a side to which the connection object is connected, a second end portion opposite to the first end portion, and a groove formed along a direction orthogonal to a connecting direction of the connection object; and the shell includes a projecting portion which projects to an inner side of the shell for engaging within the groove.

A connector comprising: a first insulator substrate; a first contact configured by arranging a plurality of contact pins including contact pins for differential signals as an array, on a top surface of the first insulator substrate; a second insulator substrate; a second contact configured by arranging a plurality of contact pins including contact pins for differential signals as an array in the same direction as the array direction of the first contact, on an undersurface of the second insulator substrate; and a metal plate sandwiched by an undersurface of the first insulator substrate and a top surface of the second insulator substrate; and one or more holes are formed in an area on the metal plate, the area being sandwiched by the contact pins for differential signals of the first and second contacts facing each other.

Electrical connector

A connector has a first contact and first signal contacts, and a second contact and second signal contacts arrayed at a different height. All the contacts have connection portions arranged at the same height position. The connection portion of the first contact is located between the connection portions of the second signal contacts and the connection portion of the second contact is located between the connection portions of the first signal contacts. A distance B is larger than a distance A. The distance A is a distance between the connection portion of the first signal contact and the connection portion of the second contact and also a distance between the connection portion of the second signal contact and the connection portion of the first contact. The distance B is a distance between the connecting portion of the first signal contact and an adjacent connection portion of the second signal contact.

In a connector, a contact groupincludes at least paired adjacent signal contacts SC-SC, and non-paired contacts GC which are placed on both adjacent sides or one adjacent side of the paired signal contacts. The contacts are arranged so that the distance Wbetween the paired signal contacts SC-SC is shorter than the distance Wbetween adjacent signal and non-paired contacts SC-GC, thereby enhancing the differential coupling force between the paired signal contacts SC-SC.

A connector according to the invention includes an insulative body, and a first contact and a second contact that are disposed in the body at different height levels from each other, the first contact or the second contact being elastically deformable. The first contact includes an mismatched portion having an higher impedance than that of another portion of the first contact. The second contact includes an adjusting portion to be brought close to the mismatched portion by elastic deformation of the first contact or the second contact in a direction close to the second contact or the first contact.
