Projecting film and manufacturing method thereof

A low reflection film comprising silica fine particles and a binder in a weight ratio proportion of 60:40 to 95:5 is obtained by mixing starting fine particles comprising at least non-aggregated silica fine particles with a mean particle size of 40-1000 nm and/or linear (chain-like) aggregated silica fine particles with a mean primary particle size of 10-100 nm, a hydrolyzable metal compound, water, and a solvent, hydrolyzing the hydrolyzable metal compound in the presence of the starting fine particles, and then coating the prepared coating solution onto a glass base substrate and subjecting it to heat treatment. The obtained low reflection film is a single-layer low reflection film with low reflectivity, excellent abrasion resistance, high film strength and excellent contamination removal property, and coating of the low reflection film onto glass base substrates can give low reflection glass articles.

Anti-reflection colored film-coated glass products prepared by forming on a transparent glass substrate with a refractive index of 1.47-1.53, a high refractive index film with a refractive index of 1.59-2.30 and a film thickness of 80-140 nm and containing 0-85% silicon oxides, 10-95% titanium oxides and 5-30% fine gold particles in terms of weight percentage, and by forming on the high refractive index film, a low refractive index film with a refractive index which is a value in the range of 1.35-1.58 and at least 0.20 smaller than the refractive index of the high refractive index film, having a film thickness of 70-99 nm and containing 90-100% silicon oxides in terms of weight percentage. These anti-reflection colored film-coated glass products of the invention have excellent anti-reflection performance for visible light and allow freedom in control of the color tones of transmitted light, and thus provide anti-reflection colored film-coated glass products with high visible light transmittance as well as the PDP optical filters that employ them.

FeO expressed as Fe O is 5 to 10 wt. % (excluding 10 wt. %) of T&mdash;Fe O , and the glass at any thickness in a range of 3.25 mm to 6.25 mm has visible light transmittance of equal to or more than 80% when measured by using CIE illuminant A.

An ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass is formed of base glass, and colorants. The base glass includes 65 to 80 wt. % SiO ; 0 to 5 wt. % Al O ; 0 to 10 wt. % MgO; 5 to 15 wt. % CaO; 10 to 18 wt. % Na O; 0 to 5 wt. % K O; 5 to 15 wt. % a total amount of MgO and CaO; 10 to 20 wt. % a total amount of Na O and K O; 0.05 to 0.3 wt. % SO ; and 0 to 5 wt. % B O . The colorants are formed of 0.35 to 0.55 wt. % the total iron oxide (T-Fe O ) expressed as Fe O ; 0.08 to 0.15 wt. % FeO; 0.8 to 1.5 wt. % CeO and 0 to 1.5 wt. % TiO . FeO expressed as Fe O is equal to or more than 20 wt.% and less than 27 wt. % of T-Fe O . The glass has high visible light transmittance and light greensih color shade so that it is useful for a window of a vehicle and a building.

Ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass

The present invention is directed to a light-transmitting color film comprising oxides which have high chemical resistance and excellent light-absorption effect, making them available in a wide color range; a method for producing the same; and a coating solution used for forming the color film. In the light-transmitting color film comprising an oxide of an element which serves as a network former and oxides of transition metal elements serving as coloring components, the element serving as a network former is at least one selected from Si, Al, and B, and the transition metal elements comprise Cu, Mn, and Ni; and the two types of oxides form a complex oxide. Moreover, a method for producing the light-transmitting color film comprises: coating on the substrate a coating solution for forming the color film which contains at least one alkoxide of elements selected from Si, Al, and B which serve as network formers, and as coloring components, transition metal salts comprising at least Cu, Mn, and Ni, and at least one organic compound having a functional group which can coordinate the transition metals; and thereafter firing the substrate.

A colored film-coated ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass plate is formed of base glass, colorants, and a colored film. The base glass includes 65 to 80 wt. % SiO ; 0 to 5 wt. % Al O ; 0 to 10 wt. % MgO; 5 to 15 wt. % CaO; 10 to 18 wt. % Na O; 0 to 5 wt. % K O; 5 to 15 wt. % total amount of MgO and CaO; 10 to 20 wt. % total amount of Na O and K O; 0.05 to 0.3 wt. % of SO ; and 0 to 5 wt. % B O . The colorants includes 0.35 to 0.55 wt. % total iron oxide (T-Fe O ) expressed as Fe O ; 0.08 to 0.15 wt. % FeO; 0.8 to 1.5 wt. % CeO ; and 0 to 0.5 wt. % TiO . FeO expressed as Fe O is equal to or more than 20 wt. % and less than 27 wt. % of T-Fe O . The colored film has a red color shade with a thickness between 30 nm and 300 nm and includes fine particles of gold and silicon oxide of more than 50 wt. % and equal to or less than 95 wt. %. The colored film is applied onto a surface of the ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass plate.

A method of producing a light control plate which induces scattering of light at different angles of incidence for different places. The method comprises (1) preparing an assembly comprising a film of a photo-polymerizable composition and a light-pervious body having a light-impervious pattern arranged along the surface of the film, (2) irradiating light limitedly to the assembly from that side where the light-pervious body at a limited angle while moving the assembly continuously in the planar direction of the film thereby to polymerize at least part of the photopolymerizable film, the light being emitted from a first linear light source whose long axis is positioned in a direction crossing the moving direction of the assembly; and thereafter (3) polymerizing the photopolymerizable composition of that portion of the film-like molded article which is covered with the light-impervious pattern of the light-pervious body by light irradiation or heating.
