A first-face forming portion of a workpiece and a second-face forming portion spaced apart from it by the length of an intermediate portion are clamped with a first-face forming die and a second-face forming die, respectively. The first-face forming die is moved either upward or downward and the second-face forming die is moved in a direction toward the first-face forming die, and the second-face forming die is pressed against the first-face forming die to shape the upright wall portion.

Bending method and apparatus for the same

A press working apparatus for processing a heated workpiece is provided with a base part which is relatively movable so as to advance and retreat with respect to the workpiece, a pad provided on the base part and configured to hold the workpiece, a working tool provided on the base part to pass through the pad and adapted to process the workpiece, and a support member configured to movably support the working tool in a direction perpendicular to an advance and retreat direction of the base part.

Press working apparatus

A press-die is provided with a lower die and an upper die. The lower die includes a drawing punch, a blank holder, and a cushion part. The upper die includes a drawing die part, and a trimming part. The blank holder includes a first holder part disposed to face to an end portion of the drawing die part, and a second holder part disposed to face to the trimming part. The second holder part has a drawing support portion that supports a first portion of a bottom surface of the first holder part. The drawing punch has a trimming support portion that supports a second portion of the bottom surface of the first holder part. The first holder part has a lower trimming blade at an outer edge thereof. The trimming part has an upper trimming blade at an inner edge thereof.
