The seal having an IC tag is to be attached to cover a bordering part between the cover and main body of a container. The seal has a base member serving as a support, an antenna provided on one surface of the base member and having a slit, an IC chip connected to the antenna and provided on the antenna, and an adhesive layer provided on that surface of the base-member on which the antenna and the IC chip are provided. The method of attaching a seal having an IC tag is to attach the antenna by using the adhesive layer, so that the seal may overlap both the cover and the main body of the container.

Seal having an IC tag and method of attaching the same

A biaxially oriented sheet of a biodegradable thermoplastic resin composition containing a lactic acid polymer is used as a structural materials for a supporting substrate of a biodegradable card. The lactic acid polymer has a number average molecular weight of from 10,000 to 1,000,000. The thermoplastic resin composition may preferably be mixed with a modifying biodegradable resin. In another embodiment, the biaxially oriented sheet of the biodegradable thermoplastic resin composition may preferably be covered with the modifying biodegradable resin. The biodegradable lactic acid polymer or the modifying biodegradable resin is also used as a polymeric binder of an information recording layer provided on the surface of the supporting substrate.

Biodegradable cards

A card having a paper as a base material laminated with decomposable plastic layers having such properties as durability, banding resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, waterproofness, surface smoothness, glossiness end workability. Any visible information/design portion and/or a magnetic recording portion may be formed as required. The present invention improves the durability of a card using paper as a base material and provides the card which spontaneously decomposes even when left after being discarded.
