A spinning reel has at least one of a leg portion having a slender portion which is covered with a soft synthetic resin covering layer, a handle knob whose main body is covered with a knob cover made of soft material in a state wherein the knob main body is tightly engaged with the knob cover by engaging means and an antilever whose main body is made of hard material and which has an operating piece integrally covered with a cover member provided with slip preventing means.

Device for preventing the dropping-off of the drag washer of a fishing

An improved anti-reverse slide switch for a fishing reel is disclosed. The fishing reel includes a rotor, a spool, reel housing, anti-reverse pawl, and anti-reverse gear. The mechanism includes a slide button and a leaf spring. The slide button comprises an exterior control knob, an internal frame portion, an operation arm adapted to actuate the anti-reverse pawl, and a neck portion. The operation arm extends from one side of the internal frame portion, and the neck connects the exterior control knob and the internal frame portion. The neck slidingly engages an opening formed in the reel casing. The leaf spring includes a main body formed with a recessed portion, a projection and a holding means. The projection is positioned at the main body and is engageable and disengageable with respect to a protrusion formed at an inner surface of the reel casing. The recessed portion is fitted with the neck portion, and the holding means has a U-shape portion extending from one side of the main body. The holding means holds the lower end portion of the slide button.

Slide switch of anti-reverse mechanism for fishing reel

A handle assembly for a spinning reel for fishing includes a handle shaft connected to a reel body and having an end projection, and a handle arm connected to the handle shaft. The handle arm is provided with a channel-shaped groove in which the projection of the handle shaft is received. The arm is pivotally connected to the shaft projection, and rotatable between a first position in which it is coaxial with the shaft and a second position in which it is perpendicular to the shaft. The arm is also provided with a recess contiguous to the groove. A slider is slidable in the recess. A spring is disposed in the recess for urging the slider into locking engagement with one side of the shaft projection when the arm is in its first position.

Handle for a fishing spinning reel

A spinning reel includes an anti-reverse mechanism for selectively preventing a rotor from rotating in a reverse direction, and a click device for selectively producing clicks when the rotor rotates in the reverse or forward direction. The click device includes a click pawl engageable with a click gear rotatable with the rotor to produce clicks, a switch lever for enabling the click pawl to engage with and disengage from the click gear, and a brake lever for keeping the click pawl engaging the click gear when the rotor rotates in the reverse direction. Clicks can be generated as desired when the rotor rotates in the forward or reverse direction. When the rotor rotates in the reverse direction, the click pawl is caused by the brake lever to engage the click gear to produce clicks and simultaneously resist the reverse rotation of the rotor.
