A remote control devicemeasures a distance to a noticed imaging target OB directly in front of the remote control deviceby a distance measurement unit. Further, the remote control devicemeasures a movement from an initial state by a motion sensor unit and transmits imaging target position information indicative of the measured distance and movement from a communication unit to an imaging device. An imaging target position calculation unit provided on the imaging devicecalculates, on the basis of the imaging target position information from the remote control device, a direction of the noticed imaging target OB with respect to the direction in the initial state of the imaging device. By generating a direction controlling signal on the basis of a calculation result of the imaging target position calculation unit and outputting the direction controlling signal to a pan head, the imaging direction of the imaging devicecan be set to the direction of the noticed imaging target OB.

Remote control device, imaging controlling device, and methods for them

Erroneous insertion of a battery into an imaging device is prevented. In a battery loading and unloading mechanism, a battery is formed with projecting portions at longitudinal both ends of a back surface and along back surface, the back surface being a surface opposite to an insertion surface of the battery, whereby even the battery formed in a flat rectangular parallelepiped and having the almost-square main surface can be prevented from being erroneously inserted into the device. The projecting portion has an inclined surface acutely inclined with respect to the back surface, and when the battery is unloaded from the device, unloading of the battery from the device is accelerated by the inclined surface undergoing contact pressure of the retaining means.

Battery loading and unloading mechanism

In a battery loading and unloading mechanism, a battery formed in a flat rectangular parallelepiped and having an almost square main surface is loaded and unloaded to and from a device. The battery is formed with projecting portions at longitudinal both ends of a back surface thereof and along the back surface, whereby the battery can be prevented from being erroneously inserted into the device. The projecting portion has an inclined surface acutely inclined with respect to the back surface, and when the battery is unloaded from the device, unloading of the battery from the device is accelerated by the inclined surface undergoing contact pressure of the retaining means. The device is formed with a notched portion which is adapted to expose the other projecting portion of the battery when the battery is loaded, thereby facilitating unloading of the battery.

An imaging apparatus includes: a main body unit that includes an imaging lens; a display unit that displays an image picked up through the imaging lens; a hinge frame that includes a first side fixed to the main body unit so as to be rotatable around a first rotation axis, a second side facing the first side, and a combination unit, which has a notch between both end portions of the second side other than a center portion and both ends of the first side, disposed between the first side and the second side; and a rotary hinge unit that connects the second side of the hinge frame and one side of the display unit and rotates the display unit around a second rotation axis extending along the second side and a third rotation axis extending in a direction perpendicular to the second rotation axis.

Imaging apparatus and display apparatus capable of changing the angle of a display unit

In a battery including a battery cell formed in a flattened substantially parallelepiped shape and a terminal contacting section electrically connected to the battery cell, at one end in the longitudinal direction of a face of the battery opposing to the face on which the terminal contacting section is provided, a projecting portion which projects in the longitudinal direction of the face is provided. Meanwhile, another projecting portion which projects in the longitudinal direction of the face is provided at the other end. The projecting portions may have projecting lengths different from each other or may have projecting lengths and projecting thicknesses different from each other. A charging apparatus into which the battery is to be installed includes an accommodating section for the battery which in turn includes projection accommodating portions configured to individually accommodate the projecting portions.

Battery, charging apparatus and electronic device

An imaging apparatus includes: a mount fixing member to which a lens mount is fixed; a connected body obtained by integrally connecting a plurality of constituent units including a battery holder unit, the plurality of constituent units provided around the mount fixing member; and a front member fixed to the connected body and integrated therewith, wherein the mount fixing member is fixed to the front member.

Imaging apparatus

In a battery () including a battery cell formed in a flattened substantially parallelepiped shape and a terminal contacting section () electrically connected to the battery cell, at one end in the longitudinal direction of a face of the battery opposing to the face on which the terminal contacting section () is provided, a projecting portion () which projects in the longitudinal direction of the face is provided. Meanwhile, another projecting portion () which projects in the longitudinal direction of the face is provided at the other end. A charging apparatus into which the battery () is to be installed includes an accommodating section () for the battery () which in turn includes projection accommodating portions (and) configured to individually accommodate the projecting portions (and). The accommodating section () includes a space for accommodating a battery (D,E) wherein the battery cell has a rectangular principal face and another space for accommodating another battery () wherein the battery cell has a substantially square principal face, and charging terminals serve as charging terminals not only for the battery () but also for the battery (D,E).

Disclosed herein is an imaging device including a battery compartment having an opening for insertion and ejection of a battery, a battery release lever for allowing the insertion of the battery into the battery compartment through the opening and the ejection of the battery from the battery compartment through the opening, and a battery lid for openably closing the opening of the battery compartment. The battery release lever is located adjacent to the battery lid so as not to be substantially covered with the battery lid in its closed condition. Accordingly, the position of the battery release lever can be visually recognized even in the closed condition of the battery lid.

Photographing system

An image pickup apparatus is disclosed which prevents interference of a lens barrel with an optical member and so forth with certainty and is advantageous in achievement of reduction in scale, weight and cost of the optical member and an adapter ring. If it is detected by a detection section that an adapter ring is attached to an adapter ring attachment portion, then a lens barrel control section moves a lens barrel so that a front end of the lens barrel is positioned within a range rearwardly of a front end of the adapter ring. Since the front end of the lens barrel does not project forwardly of the front end of the adapter ring, the end of the lens barrel does not interfere with a conversion lens or the like attached to the front end of the adapter ring. It is not necessary to form the wide conversion lens or the adapter ring with an increased size in order to prevent the front end of the lens barrel positioned at its projecting position from interfering with a lens of the wide conversion lens.

A protection-cover opening/closing mechanism for a digital still camera includes an electromagnet having stator around which an electromagnetic coil is formed and a movable member, a first lever to which the movable member is pivotally attached at a first end portion and which receives a rotational force, a second lever which is able to reciprocate on a stationary member, which is engageable with a second end portion of the first lever, and which is pressed toward an initial position thereof. While a CD-R is being operated, current is applied to the electromagnetic coil to restrain the movable member on the stator and thereby prevent the first lever from rotating, and the movement of the second lever in the direction away from the initial position is limited due to the engagement between the first lever and the second lever, thereby locking a protection cover at a closed position.
