An engine device in which exhaust pipes and an intake pipe can be mounted highly rigidly by using an upper face corner of a cylinder block in an engine, and a support structure of the exhaust pipes and the intake pipe can be simplified. In an engine device in which a first supercharger and a second supercharger are disposed in series on an exhaust gas discharge path of an engine, the engine device has a structure in which the first supercharger and the second supercharger are disposed to be divided on opposed side faces of the engine, and an upper side exhaust pipe between the engine and the first supercharger, a lower side exhaust pipe between the first supercharger and the second supercharger, and an intake pipe between the first supercharger and the second supercharger extend to be substantially flush with one another at a head-cover disposed-height of an upper face of the engine.

The amount of the light emitted from a light-emitting diode is changed from that of the initial condition to increase, among the light sensors that are not shielded from the light emitted from the light-emitting diode, the number of the light sensors at which the difference (C&#x2212;D) between the light detection amount at the light sensor when the light-emitting diode is ON and the light detection amount at the light sensor when the light-emitting diode is OFF is equal to the difference (A&#x2212;B) between the light detection amount at the light sensor in the initial condition when the light-emitting diode was ON and the light detection amount at the light sensors in the initial condition when the light-emitting diode was OFF with no detection object present. As a result, regardless of the presence or absence of the detection object, the coordinate sensor and the display device disclosed can establish a threshold for determining the presence or absence of the detection object, and can also determine the coordinates of the detection object in a stable manner regardless of changes in the ambient environmental light or in the ambient environmental temperature, or fluctuations in the amount of light emitted from the light-emitting element disposed in the coordinate sensor or the change in the sensitivity of the light-receiving elements.

Coordinate sensor and display device

A coordinate sensor of the present invention includes light emitting diodes () and line sensors () each including light receiving elements (), and further includes, between the light emitting diodes () and the light receiving elements (), wavelength selective reflection mirrors () for allowing light emitted from the light emitting diodes () to be selectively incident to the light receiving elements ().

A liquid crystal display device () of the present invention includes: a liquid crystal panel () including: an active matrix substrate (); a counter substrate (); and a liquid crystal layer () provided between the active matrix substrate () and the counter substrate (); and a backlight () illuminating the liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal display device () has an area sensor function for detecting an external input position, and further includes a reflectance changing section () that reduces a reflectance of light from the backlight () in response to application of pressure on a panel surface (). The reflectance changing section () is configured so that in a state where no pressure is applied on the panel surface (), an air layer () is formed between two elastic films (and) whereas in a state where pressure is applied on the panel surface (), the two elastic films (and) contact each other.

Area sensor and display device including area sensor

An input pen () of the present invention is an input pen used for performing an input to a touch-panel-integrated liquid crystal display device () (display device). The liquid crystal display device () includes a plurality of photosensitive elements () that senses light transmitted through a panel surface. The photosensitive elements () detect a position of input by sensing an image on a surface of a display panel. The input pen () includes a retroreflective element () at its tip that is to be in contact with the display panel. The retroreflective element () is made up of a spherical glass () (spherical transparent member) and an elastic reflective element (). In this way, it is possible to provide an input pen which is to be used with a touch-panel-integrated display device and which makes it possible to perform a more accurate position detection.

A clean room has an equipment installation area where an apparatus for treating an object to be treated such as a semiconductor wafer is installed, a process areawhere the object is loaded in or unloaded from the apparatus, and an operation area where operations of the apparatus are executed. The equipment installation area, the process area and the operation area are arranged horizontally in the above-stated order and separated by partitions.
