An oxide-dispersion-strengthened sintered alloy improved in oxidation resistance and compressive strength for use at high temperatures of at least 1350.degree. C. The alloy includes a matrix of a metal consisting substantially or predominantly of Cr, and 0.2 to 2.0% by weight of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 uniformly dispersed in the matrix. The Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 as uniformly dispersed is up to 0.1 .mu.m in mean particle size.

A heat resistant alloy useful for floor rails, rollers and like structures for use in furnaces and having low amenability to the pick-up of scales formed on the surface of steel materials during heat treatment. A high corrosion resistant and high strength medium Cr and low Ni stainless cast steel which is produced from material including predetermined amounts of elements at predetermined weight percentage and remaining portion substantially of Fe. When the above material is further subjected to heat treatments under predetermined conditions, stainless steels superior in yield strength and having stable corrosion resistance against circumstances influenced by strong acids are presented.

High corrosion resistant and high strength medium Cr and low Ni

A heat resisting alloyed steel having a highly improved compressive strength at the elevated temperature within the range of 1,250.degree. to 1,300.degree. C. contains carbon, silicon, chromium, nickel, manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, phosphorus, sulfur, niobium and iron. Tungsten may be added as desired.
