A printing apparatus performs a circulation of ink and a cleaning operation for an inkjet head. In a case where it is determined that a circulation timing for performing the circulation of the ink comes to be arrived, a controller of the printing apparatus determines whether or not to arrive at a print timing. In a case where it is determined that the print timing comes to be arrived, the controller performs the circulation and the cleaning operation. On the other hand, in a case where it is not determined that the print timing comes to be arrived, the controller performs the circulation and does not perform the cleaning operation.

Printing device, control method thereof and computer-readable recording medium

A server acquires the total number of pages printed per hour and the number of pages printed per hour by each user on each printer in a network printing system in order to find printers whose hourly number of printed pages exceeds a load limit. The server also looks for printers having few printed pages per hour that do not exceed the load limit and issues a notification advising the user who is printing the largest volume on a printer exceeding the load limit to switch to a printer that prints few pages. Accordingly, a high concentration of printing found on a few printers can be moderated, reducing user wait time and excessive printer load.

The printing apparatus includes a plurality of exchangeable fabric holders, a recording head, which is driven according to printable data including image information representing the image to be printed and holder information concerning a type of the fabric holder to be used for forming the image, an obtaining unit to obtain the printable data from external environment, a storage unit with a storage area to store the holder information extracted from the printable data, an examination unit to examine as to whether the holder information for a current printing operation is identical with the holder information for a previous printing operation stored in the storage area, and an indication unit, which indicates a result of the examination obtained by the examination unit to notify a user of necessity of exchanging the fabric holders.
