There is disclosed a method for producing a polysilane which comprises reacting a hydrosilane compound in the presence of an organolanthanoid complex.

Method for producing polysilanes

An organosilicon compound having a Si--C--C--Si bond, a C.dbd.C--Si bond and/or a CH--CH--Si bond is prepared by reacting an olefin or a substituted olefin with a disilane in the presence of a platinum-containing catalyst. The resulting compound can be further treated with an alkyl lithium, an aryl lithium or a Grignard reagent.

Organosilicon compound and process for producing organosilicon compound

In accordance with a process of the present invention, .alpha.-keto acids of the general formula RCOCOOH wherein R is aryl, alkenyl or heterocyclic group, can be obtained through one-step carbonylation reaction of an organic halogenide of the general formula RX wherein R is the same as above and X is a halogen atom, with carbon monoxide and water in the presence of a basic compound and a palladium containing catalyst.

Process of producing .alpha.-keto acids

The invention provides a novel method for the preparation of an .alpha.-ketoamide imine having a characteristic structure expressed by the formula ##STR1## in which R is a group such as an alkyl, aryl or the like group, in a one-step reaction in which a halogen-containing organic compound reacts with a primary amine and carbon monoxide in the presence of a carbonylation catalyst. The product compound is useful as an intermediate for the synthesis of various kinds of organic compounds including medicines and agricultural chemicals.
