A ball screw device or linear motion guide device has a seal member preventing dust and dirt from entering into a movable member of a linear motion guide device and seals out fine dust, dirt or like by surely contacting a seal to a shaft member without providing a large margin to the seal. The seal member includes a body portion mounted to the movable member and a lip portion contacting an outer portion of the shaft member, the lip portion has an oblique surface having an axial section inclining with respect to its axial direction, the body portion has an urging member urging the lip portion in a diameter direction of the shaft member and a reinforcing portion reinforcing the body portion. The urging member is located on the reinforcing portion side than the tip end of the lip portion in the axial sectional shape of the lip portion.

Seal member and linear motion guide device using same

A motion guide device for preventing interference of belt members with guide grooves. The motion guide device includes an endless circulation path for rolling elements, and a coupling member received in the endless circulation path. The endless circulation path includes a load rolling element path, a rolling element return path, and a direction-changing path. The direction-changing path includes a guide groove for the coupling member, which has an outer circumferential guide surface and an inner circumferential guide surface. The guide groove has a maximum width at a midpoint of a path within a range of from a coupling end between the direction-changing path and the load rolling element path or the rolling element return path to a center portion of the direction-changing path, and the groove width at the coupling end and the groove width at the center portion are smaller than the maximum value of the groove width.

Motion-guiding device

A rolling-element screw device includes: a large number of rolling elements; a screw shaft having an outer periphery on which a rolling groove for the large number of rolling elements is helically formed; a nut member which has a through-hole through which the screw shaft is passed and which is threadedly engaged with the screw shaft through intermediation of the large number of rolling elements; a lubricant supply hole formed through the nut member from an outer peripheral surface of the nut member to an inner peripheral surface of the nut member; a lubricant tank mounted to the outer peripheral surface of the nut member and comprising an accommodating chamber for lubricant; and a lubricant applying body standing from the lubricant tank, and inserted into the lubricant supply hole along with amounting operation of the lubricant tank with respect to the nut member.

Rolling element screw device

There is provided a new rolling body screw device manufactured with cheap cost without degrading quality in comparison with a conventional device even for a device having any large dimension in an end-cap type rolling body screw device. The rolling body screw device includes the direction changing passageseach including: a scoop-up portionscooping a ball rolling in a loaded rolling body passage as a loaded area of the endless track so as to hand over the balls to the direction changing passageas a non-loaded area of the endless track; and a route pathforming a circulation path of the ball scooped by the scoop-up portion. Each of the return pieces is composed, in combination, of a metal partformed of a metal material including the scoop-up portion, and non-metal partsformed of a non-metal material including the route path

Rolling body screw device

A return pipe is constituted by combining a pair of return pipe halves split along a non-load passage. A pipe hold down member is fixed to a nut member so as to be astride the return pipe, fixing the return pipe to the nut member. A flange portion is formed on each of the return pipe halves, while a pair of fixing leg portions covering the flange portion of each return pipe half is formed on the pipe hold down member. Fastening members pass through the fixing leg portions of the pipe hold down member and the flange portion of the return pipe halves and are fastened to the nut member. When the fixing leg portions of the pipe hold down member are fixed to the nut member by the fastening members, an engagement portion of the pipe hold down member is configured to tighten the pair of the return pipe halves in the direction where split faces of the return pipe halves abut against each other.

A circulation member of a ball screw for circulating a ball rolling on a spiral ball rolling groove formed on a screw shaft. The circulation member includes a central portion and a pair of leg portions disposed at both ends of the central portion so as to extend therefrom, the leg portions having inner peripheries having center lines inclined in directions different from each other with respect to a center line of an inner periphery of said central portion. The leg portions also have outer peripheries having center lines being parallel to each other and have thicknesses, different in circumferential directions thereof, at cross sections in directions normal to center lines of the outer peripheries of the respective leg portions.
