A load detection structure for seat having support leg member, which comprises: a load detection unit whose one end portion is pivotally provided in the support leg member; a limiter element for limiting vertical movement of another end portion of the load detection unit; and a stopper element for limiting further excessive vertical movement of such another end portion. The load detection unit is connected via bolts and nuts with the seat and includes: a strain plate member; a reinforcement plate member attached on a securing portion of the strain plate member through which the bolts and nuts pass; and a buffer cover member which is attached to a free end of the strain plate member, defining the afore-said another end portion of the load detection unit. A strain gauge is provided at a deflectable area of the strain plate member. The stopper element is provided at the bolt.

Load detection structure for vehicle seat

A load detection structure provided between a vehicle seat and a support leg element to be fixed on a floor. The load detection structure includes a strain plate member pivotally provided within the support leg element and connected at the one end portion thereof with the vehicle seat. Such one end portion is sandwiched between two reinforcement plates, whereas another portion of the strain plate member is formed with an half hinge portion extending transversely thereof. A hinge plate having a half hinge portion is attached to that another end portion, thus defining a through-bore therein, and a hinge pin is inserted in the through-bore, so that the hinge or pivot point of the strain plate member is made small in heightwise thickness. Upper and lower stopper pieces for limiting vertical deflection of the strain plate member are formed in each of two vertical walls of the support leg element.

A load detection structure for a vehicle seat provided with a pair of spaced-apart slide rail devices, wherein a strain block element with a strain gauge is provided on a lateral wall of an upper rail of each of the two slide rail devices. A vertically elongated hole is formed in that lateral wall. The strain block element has a movable end portion and a securing portion fixedly secured to the upper rail lateral wall. A pair of spaced-apart pendent link pieces are provided between the seat and the strain block element, such that the movable end portion of strain block element is connected with the seat via those two spaced-apart pendent link pieces and a connecting pin that passes slidably through the vertically elongated hole, so that the strain block element is delectable in substantially a vertical direction within the vertical limit range defined by the vertically elongated hole.

Load detection structure in a sliding seat

Structure for securing a load detection element under a vehicle seat in combination with a support leg element having a hole formed in one end portion thereof, wherein the load detection element is pivotally connected with the support leg element, while being fixedly secured by first and second securing pins to the vehicle seat. The first pin has an end riveted to a bottom side of the vehicle seat and an end portion extending through the hole of support leg element. Such another end portion has a head larger in diameter than that hole and is disposed outwardly under the support leg member, with one space given between the head and support leg member. The second pin has a end fused and fixed in the bottom side of vehicle seat and a head disposed beneath the load detection element, with another space given between the head and support leg member.

Structure for load detection element in vehicle seat

A load detection structure in a vehicle seat with a support leg member, which includes a rigid yet resilient block member having a pivotal end portion, a thin intermediate portion, and a securing portion in which pin (s) is/are provided, and a strain gauge attached to the thin intermediate portion of block member. The support leg member has at least one first hole formed in the bottom wall thereof and two second holes formed in the respective two vertical walls thereof. The block member is arranged between the seat and support leg member, such that the securing portion thereof of is fixed via one end of the pin (s) to the seat, with another end of the pin (s) extending through the at least one first hole, while the pivotal end portion of block member is rotatably connected with the support leg member by fitting two flanged collars in the two second holes, respectively, and then inserting a pivot pin through those two flanged collars and second holes.
