Provided is a patch antenna, an antenna unit and an antenna apparatus that can increase the directional gain of a patch antenna at a high angle of elevation and that can make the directional gain of a patch antenna at a given angle of elevation uniform at all azimuth angles. Patch antenna, antenna unit and antenna apparatus

An antenna device includes an antenna, the antenna including an antenna element, a circuit board, and a planar metallic holder disposed between the antenna element and the circuit board. The antenna device further includes an antenna case accommodating the antenna, and the antenna case include a top cover and a bottom plate serving as a base. The metallic holder supports the antenna element on the base, and includes a flat-shaped portion mounting a bottom surface of the antenna element and a plurality of tabs extending upwards from peripheral edges of the flat-shaped portion. The plurality of tabs includes a pair of front tabs and a pair of rear tabs, and a distance between the pair of front tabs is shorter than a distance between the pair of rear tabs.

A complex antenna device includes: an antenna base having a main surface and first and second ends opposed to each other; a bar antenna including a metal body and disposed upright on a side of the first end of the antenna base; at least one planar antenna mounted on the main surface of the antenna base between the first and second ends of the antenna base; a metallic member provided on a side of the second end of the antenna base so as to substantially remove physical influence of the bar antenna on the planar antenna.

In addition to an FM reception antenna element for receiving an FM radio wave and an FM receiver connected to the FM reception antenna element, a mobile object is provided with a first antenna element for receiving a satellite signal, a signal processing unit connected to the first antenna, and a second antenna element connected to the signal processing unit. The signal processing unit processes the satellite signal into an FM signal. The second antenna element emits the FM signal as the FM radio wave that may be received in the FM reception antenna and processed by the FM receiver in the manner known in the art.

The lid is openable for taking the optical disc into and out from the optical disc drive. The antenna is mounted to the lid. An earth plate electrically connected to the antenna is mounted to the lid.

An antenna unit includes an antenna module that receives radio waves sent from a satellite or earth, a cover member that has enough inner space to house the antenna module and has an opened bottom surface, and a bottom plate that closes the opened bottom surface of the cover member, and the antenna unit is attached to a resin-made attachment part. A metal sheet is provided on a back surface side of the resin-made attachment part, and the antenna unit is adhesive bonded and fixed on a surface side of the resin-made attachment part correspondingly to an arrangement position of the metal sheet.
