A label affixing apparatus enables an RFID tag to be affixed to a product at a distance from the product. The apparatus comprises: a folding/affixing device which conveys a label, a label holder holds a front surface side of the label, a folding device causes a part of the label including a tag attachment site to project by folding the part from a rear surface side to the front surface side into an angular shape. Either traction is suppressed when the label is affixed to the product. A reader/writer has an antenna in a position facing the part of the label when the part of the label is folded, for reading and writing information from and to the RFID tag. A fold detector detects if the label is folded. The label holding device moves between a label suction position and a label affixing position. Folding is assisted from a rear surface side of the part of the label.

Label pasting device

A RFID tag is partially separable from an article to which the tag is applied such that influence on the RFID tag from the article may be reduced thereby. A label is applied to an article, wherein the label is tacked on a backing paper. The label is fixed with a tag-fixed portion fixed with a RFID tag comprising an IC chip and a communication antenna. The tag-fixed portion has a predetermined size and is partitioned from a common label portion. The common label portion is partitioned into a first label portion that is articulated with the tag-fixed portion and a second label portion, from which the tag-fixed portion is separable along a partition line extending across the common label portion from a side of the tag-fixed portion. The method comprises associating the first label portion of the common label portion with a first surface of the article such that the partition line of the label follows a corner line of a corner portion of the article, and applying the label to the article such that the tag-fixed portion articulated with the first label portion is raised from the article.

Ultrasonic cerebral infarction therapeutic apparatus

A self-resetting overcurrent protection element uses an element body made up of a mixture of polymers and carbon black grafted with polymers. A resilient sheathing material covering the element body permits free expansion of the element body to permit the resistance of the overcurrent protection element to increase substantially in response to Joule's heating from high current. The sheathing materials preferably are made of elastic epoxy resins or silicone resins that allow significant expansion of the element body at the time of overcurrent protection, thus increasing the ratio of resistance in the element between an overcurrent state and a normal operating state.

Self-resetting overcurrent protection element

A process for producing PTC (positive temperature coefficient) self-resetting overcurrent protection elements using two different crystalline polymers with an organic peroxide and carbon black. The mixture is kneaded at an elevated temperature. The two crystalline polymers include different proportions of tertiary hydrogen atoms to carbon atoms, so that the desired PTC characteristics of a highly crystallized polymer can obtain the benefit of greater proportions of tertiary hydrogen in a less highly crystallized polymer. A high degree of grafting to carbon black that increases the number of polymer having unpaired electrons in the crystalline polymer mixture through the decomposition of organic peroxide. The resulting mixture tends to disperse the carbon black uniformly throughout the resulting mixture, and to position the carbon black in a three-dimensional matrix in which it is fixed by cross-linking. The uniform distribution of the carbon black reduces localized heating and thus minimizes resistance changes following repeated overcurrent conditions. The first crystalline polymer is selected from high density polyethylene, polyesters, fluorine-containing polymers and mixtures thereof. The second crystalline polymer is either low density polyethylene or medium density polyethylene.

Process of making a PTC composition by grafting method using two

A process for producing a self-restoring overcurrent protective device by the grafting method, wherein an organic peroxide is added to colloidal graphite, at least one kind of carbon black selected from among acetylene black, Ketjen black and furnace black having a high structure, and at least one kind of crystalline polyner substance while heating and milling the latter three components, and the heated mixture having a high viscosity is forcibly milled, whereby the organic peroxide is reacted with the polymer substance to give unpaired electrons to the polymer substance to thereby form polymer radicals. Subsequently, the formed polymer radicals are preferentially grafted onto the above-mentioned graphite and carbon black to form a milled mass wherein the grafting products are homogeneously dispersed in the above-mentioned polymer substance. The milled mass is molded into a predetermined shape while it still retains thermoplasticity. Subsequently, the above-mentioned organic peroxide not involved in the formation of the above-mentioned polymer radicals is thermally decomposed to crosslink the above-mentioned grafting products and polymer substance, whereby a molding having a three-dimensional network structure is obtained.
