The compact coin hopper for holding and dispensing coins in bulk includes a rotable disk for releasing individual coins to a sliding base beneath the rotable disk for ejection from the coin hopper. The upper surface of the rotable disk includes an upper step part and a lower step part connected by a riser part. The upper step part has a crescent arc shape with a radii smaller than the radius of the rotating disk in a planar view. One end of the crescent arc shape terminates adjacent an edge of the through hole while the other end of the crescent arc shape diverges away from the through hole and terminates adjacent a peripheral side edge of the lower step part. The configuration of the upper and lower step parts and the riser part assist in dispensing a coin.

Compact coin hopper

A coin dispensing apparatus is provided which can detect a dispensed coin without lowering a dispensation speed of coins, even dispensed small-diameter coins without lowering a dispensation speed without damaging a coin detecting device. The coin dispensing apparatus has a throwing-out device and a noncontact type detecting device. A rebound member is provided against which the coin thrown out by the throwing-out device strikes, to rebound in a predetermined direction. The noncontact type coin detecting device continuously detects a coin before the coin strikes against the rebound member and after the coin rebounds.

Coin dispensing apparatus

A coin storing apparatus with overflow chute apparatus is supplied with coins from a slot-shaped replenishing port to a coin storing portion and stores the coins in piles in the coin storing portion. The coins overflow via a downward overflow chute having a width equal to or larger than a diameter of a coin, when an amount of the coins in the coin storing portion reaches a predetermined amount. A downward slope wider than the diameter of the coin is disposed below the replenishing port. A guide rail is continuous with the downward slope and has a predetermined width narrower than a radius of the coin. A downward overflow chute extends at a predetermined angle to the guide rail and has a width equal to or larger than the diameter of the coin and is provided below the guide rail. The guide rail is disposed on the downward slope adjacent to a downstream side of the overflow chute. A coin dropped from the replenishing port comes in face contact with the downward slope, and then a lower face of the coin on a downstream side of the overflow chute slides on the guide rail to reach the storing portion, and the coins accumulated in the storing portion can be moved to the overflow chute.

Overflow chute apparatus for coin storing

A banknote condition detection device for a banknote storing unit where the banknote storing unit can be removably positioned within a banknote receiving unit. The banknote storing unit receives a banknote from the banknote receiving unit into the banknote storing unit. The received banknote is moved by a moving unit within the banknote storing unit for storing the received banknote within the storing unit. Each of the stored banknotes is aligned together in a stack within the storing unit. The storing unit includes a plurality of optical guide units each having a receiving surface, and each positioned at the surface of the storing unit. A plurality of optical emitter-receiver pair units are positioned within the banknote receiving unit opposite the plurality of optical guide units, each optical emitter-receiver pair unit is positioned to send light to and receive light from a predetermined optical guide unit.

Banknote storing with condition detection apparatus and method

A banknote storing system for providing an economical and space-efficient storage of banknotes of various sizes in a removable banknote storage unit is provided. A banknote transporting unit can move a banknote with a movable elongated belt unit to a position over a gap position on the removable banknote storage unit. The slider unit in the banknote storage unit can move relative to a movable elongated bank unit for forcing the banknote unit into a storage area. The slider unit can form a pair of U-shaped channels that are positioned above the gap for laterally receiving the banknote when transported by the movable elongated belt unit.

Banknote moving unit for a banknote storing unit

A banknote moving system including a banknote storing unit that can be removably positioned within a banknote receiving unit. The banknote storing unit has a storing section and receives a banknote from the banknote receiving unit. The mover unit can move between a standby position and a moved position to move the received banknote into the storing section of the storing unit. The mover driving unit operates the mover unit in a reciprocating manner between the standby position and the moved position. The rotating driving unit selectively operates the mover driving unit by applying a rotating force in either a clockwise or a counter clockwise direction. The standby position detecting unit produces a standby condition signal when the mover is in a standby condition, and the moved position detecting unit produces a moved position condition signal when the mover unit is in a moved position condition. Finally, the controlling unit receives the standby condition signal and the moved position condition signal and produces a driving direction command signal for selectively operating the rotating driving unit in either the clockwise direction or the counter clockwise direction.
