A collision avoidance assistance device includes a first determination section that determines a probability that a vehicle changes course, by using a recognition result of a road structure and a detection result by internal field sensors, a second determination section that determines a probability that the vehicle changes course, by using information related to a traveling situation output, a decision section that decides an operation mode of collision avoidance assistance using a collision avoidance assistance mechanism, by using a combination of a determination result of the first determination section and a determination result of the second determination section, and an assistance section that performs a process for controlling the collision avoidance assistance mechanism in the operation mode that has been decided by the decision section, upon detection of a collision probability with an obstacle using the information output by information output devices.

In a driving assistance device for performing a driving assistance process to avoid or mitigate a collision between an own vehicle, which is a vehicle carrying the driving assistance device, and an oncoming vehicle detected within a predefined region ahead of the own vehicle, an entry determiner is configured to determine whether one of the own vehicle and the oncoming vehicle is likely to enter a lane in which the other one is present. An actuation controller is configured to, in response to the entry determiner determining that each one of the own vehicle and the oncoming vehicle is unlikely to enter the lane of the other, restrict actuation of the driving assistance process, and in response to the entry determiner determining that any one of the own vehicle and the oncoming vehicle is likely to enter the lane of the other, not restrict actuation of the driving assistance process.

In a collision avoidance apparatus for a vehicle, a collision avoidance controller is configured to calculate a movement trajectory of a moving object moving on a road crossing a road that the vehicle is traveling on from a succession of locations of the moving object, calculate a movement trajectory of the vehicle using a speed of the vehicle, determine whether the movement trajectory of the moving object is a trajectory of a moving object likely colliding with the vehicle, and in response to determining that the movement trajectory of the moving object is a trajectory of a moving object likely colliding with the vehicle and that the moving object fails to be recognized by a camera due to a view of the moving object being obstructed, calculate a risk index for determining a collision avoidance measure and employ the collision avoidance measure in dependence upon the risk index.

Collision avoidance apparatus for vehicle

A traveling assistance apparatus controls a safety apparatus for avoiding collision between an own vehicle and an object, based on detection information from an object detection apparatus. The assistance apparatus calculates a predicted time to collision of a target object and the own vehicle, and operates the safety apparatus in response to the predicted time to collision being equal to or less than a predetermined operation timing. In response to a steering operation by a driver for collision avoidance of the own vehicle being performed, the assistance apparatus performs operation-stop in which operation of the safety apparatus is stopped or operation-delay in which the operation timing is delayed. The assistance apparatus suppresses the operation-stop or the operation-delay in response to a target object serving as a collision avoidance target being recognized in a path of the own vehicle after the steering operation by the driver, based on the detection information.

Traveling assistance apparatus

In a vehicle control apparatus, an object recognizing block recognizes an object which is present around a vehicle. In cases where there is a possibility that the vehicle will collide with an object recognized by the object recognizing block, the apparatus performs automatic braking control which brakes the vehicle. If the driver depresses the accelerator pedal in a predetermined depressing state, a braking controlling block cancels the automatic braking control. When an operation determining block determines that there is a driver's predetermined shift-lever position change, with which the driver's predetermined shift-lever position change is carried out during a driver's accelerator pedal depressing operation, the braking controlling block responds to a driver's accelerator depressing operation by not cancelling the automatic braking control or by making cancellation of the automatic braking control more difficult.

A driving assistance device sets, in front of an own vehicle, an actuation region that is a region sandwiched by boundary lines, positioned at left and right, respectively. A driving assistance apparatus determines, based on an instantaneous indicator which is an instantaneous value of a parameter regarding steering of the own vehicle, whether a driver has started a collision avoidance operation for avoiding a collision between a target and the own vehicle. When it is determined that the collision avoidance operation has been started, a support start timing for starting driving assistance for avoiding the collision between the target and the own vehicle or reducing collision damage is set to be a timing later than when the collision avoidance operation has not been started. The support start timing during a collision avoidance time period which is a time period until a predetermined set time has elapsed after it is determined that the collision avoidance operation has been started is set based on a time-dependent indicator for steering indicated by the instantaneous indicator at timings during the collision avoidance time period.

An object detection apparatus acquires a lateral position which is a relative position of a target to the own vehicle, and determines that a first target is present, as the target, ahead of the own vehicle and that a second target is present between the first target and the own vehicle. The object detection apparatus determines, based on the lateral position of the first target and a limiting value which indicates a width in the lateral direction, whether the first target is present on a traveling course of the own vehicle. The object detection apparatus sets the limiting value such that when the second target is not present, sets as the limiting value, a predetermined reference value, and when the second target is present, sets as the limiting value, a value different from the reference value.

In an ejector, formed in a body is a swirling space which lets a high-pressure refrigerant flowing from a refrigerant inlet port swirl and introduces the swirling high-pressure refrigerant into a depressurizing space in which the swirled high-pressure refrigerant is depressurized and expanded. An ejector has a swirling space, a pressure reducing space, a suction passage, a pressure increasing space, a nozzle passage, a diffuser passage, a passage forming member that forms the nozzle passage and the diffuser passage, and a vibration suppressing portion that suppresses a vibration of the passage forming member. The vibration suppressing portion has (i) a first elastic member that applies a load to the passage forming member in a direction in which an area of a cross section perpendicular to the direction of the central axis of the nozzle passage and the diffuser passage decreases and (ii) a second elastic member that applies a load to the passage forming member in a direction opposite from the direction in which the first elastic member applies the load to the passage forming member.

Ejector

A sealing structure has a permanent magnet and a magnetic-flux guiding member for guiding magnetic flux of the permanent magnet to a brake shaft of a brake rotating member. The magnetic-flux guiding member surrounds an outer periphery of the brake shaft so as to form a sealing gap around the brake shaft. The sealing gap is communicated to a fluid chamber, in which magnetic viscous fluid is filled. A fluid sealing member is provided at the brake shaft at a housing outer side of the magnetic-flux guiding member to form an intermediate fluid chamber, in which an intermediate fluid made of non-magnetic liquid is filled.

In a method for producing a molded article having a resin part, the resin part is injection-molded to an opening of a main body part and the molded article has an excellent air-tightness between the resin part and the main body part. A foam sealant is attached to a peripheral portion around the opening of the main body part. Attached to the main body part is a retainer made of the same kind of resin as injected resin and adapted to keep the foam sealant compressed in its thickness direction. The main body part is placed within a mold so that the retainer is exposed inside a cavity of the mold. A molten resin is injected into the cavity of the mold. The injected resin and the retainer are integrated into the resin part.

Molded article production method and molded article

A case with a connector integrally formed with a resin connector, and can be manufactured with a small number of processes is provided. The connector case includes a housing, a resin connector, and a ground terminal extending along an outer periphery of the connector. A terminal-side fixing portion extending backward from the ground terminal is crimped to or pressed over a housing-side fixing portion. When molds are closed after the housing and the ground terminal are placed in the molds for injection molding of the resin connector, a pressing portion formed on the mold presses the terminal-side fixing portion against the housing-side fixing portion to crimp or press the terminal-side fixing portion to or over the housing-side fixing portion. As a result, in the process for the injection molding of the connector, the ground terminal is fixed to the housing at the same time. The connector case with the ground terminal fixed to the housing can be manufactured in a small number of processes.
