In a method of forming a II-VI compound semiconductor thin film on an InP substrate, a layer of III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal is first formed on the InP substrate. The desorption rate of a group V element constituting the III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal at a decomposition temperature of a native oxide layer formed on a surface of the III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal layer is lower than a desorption rate of P of the InP substrate at a decomposition temperature of a native oxide layer formed on a surface of the InP substrate. A II-VI compound semiconductor thin film layer is formed on the first III-V compound semiconductor mixed crystal layer.

This invention provides an ophthalmological image processing system which can avoid data errors when processing images by appending data to identify a subject's left and right eyes, and other photographic condition data. The system comprises an ophthalmological camera for electronically obtaining an image of a subject's eyes, inputting means for inputting photographic condition data, and processing means for linking a fundus image obtained by the ophthalmological camera to the photographic condition data input by the inputting means.

A method and device for measuring the surface contour such as the surface roughness of a member to be measured having a curved surface shape. In the surface contour measuring device, a cubic curved line corresponding to the curved surface of the member to be measured is obtained from a measurement signal according to a method of least squares, and the cubic curved line is removed from the measurement signal to obtain a roughness curved line, so that, even when the member to be measured has a curved surface, the surface roughness of the member can be obtained with accuracy.

A semiconductor memory device with a write control circuit free from error which may be induced during readout operation by noise on power line, or the like, is disclosed. The memory device comprises a write circuit for writing data to a selected memory cell, and a read circuit for reading data from the selected memory cell, a first control circuit for enabling the write circuit in response to a write enable signal, and a second control circuit for enabling the read circuit in response to a read enable signal.
