The present disclosure relates to a connector and a manufacturing method or a connector. The connector includes: a terminal fitting; and a housing holding the terminal fitting. The housing includes a first resin molded body in which at least a part of the terminal fitting is embedded, the first resin molded body being made of a first material, and a second resin molded body in which at least a part of the first resin molded body is embedded, the second resin molded body being made of a second material. The first material has a linear thermal expansion coefficient smaller than that of the second material.

A device direct-mounting shield connector configured to be installed in an opening section in a metal casing, includes a nonconductive connector housing and a metal shield shell. The connector housing has a cylindrical hood section which includes a terminal housing section. The metal shield shell is installed in the connector housing and covers a circumference of the terminal housing section. The shield shell integrally has an exposed section and a fastening section. The exposed section is configured to contact to a shield shell of the mating connector when the mating connector is fitted with the connector housing. The fastening section has a through hole at a rear end side of the connector housing. The shield shell is fastened to the casing by passing a bolt into the through hole and a bolt hole in the casing and by tightening the bolt.

Device direct-mounting shield connector

A shield connector includes a braided conductor through which an electric wire is inserted; a shield shell formed in a tubular shape that has conductivity; and a ring formed in a tubular shape in which a pressing surface that faces the shield shell in an axial direction of the shield shell is formed on an inner surface side over an entire periphery. The pressing surface is inclined in a direction intersecting with the axial direction on a section in the axial direction. The ring is fixed to the shield shell while maintaining a state in which the pressing surface presses the braided conductor against the shield shell in the axial direction over the entire periphery.

Shield connector

An attachment structure for directly attaching a shield connector to an opening formed in a metal casing is provided. A shield connector for directly mounting on a device is attached to an opening formed in a metal casing. A connector housing is fastened to the casing with bolts from outside the casing. The opening of the metal casing has a diameter-enlarged portion formed in an end portion of the opening in an outside direction of the casing to be enlarged toward the outside direction. The shield shell has a contact piece at an end portion of the shield shell, and the contact piece is housed in and contacts with the diameter-enlarged portion in a state that the shield connector is attached to the opening.

The connector is provided with a connector housing () having a holder accommodating chamber (), and a rear holder (A), with an electric wire () inserted into an electric wire insertion hole () thereof, accommodated within the holder accommodating chamber (). The external diameter dimension (D) of the electric wire () is larger than the internal diameter dimension (D) of the electric wire insertion hole () of the rear holder (A), and the internal diameter dimension (D) of the holder accommodating chamber () of the connector housing () is smaller than the external diameter dimension (D) of the rear holder (A) with the electric wire () accommodated within the electric wire insertion hole ().

A waterproof connector includes a connector housing. The connector housing includes: a terminal housing part for housing a terminal; a core-wire housing part which is provided continuously to the terminal housing part and houses a core wire part of an electric wire; and a covered end insertion part into which a covered end of the electric wire is inserted. The covered end insertion part is provided with a waterproof partition wall, so that respective interiors of the core-wire housing part and the terminal housing part are kept in a waterproof state. The core-wire housing part is provided, around the core wire part, with a hollow part which allows the core wire part of an end of the electric wire to move freely within the core-wire housing part.

Waterproof connector

A connector includes: a plate-like terminal which is connected to an end of an electric wire; a rear connector in which the plate-like connector is accommodated; and a front connector in which a box-shaped female terminal that is connected to the plate-like terminal by being assembled to the rear connector and that is to be connected to a counterpart terminal of the electric device side is received. The plate-like terminal and the female terminal are connected by a connection terminal composed of a soft material capable of absorbing both positional displacement between the plate-like terminal and the female terminal and vibration of the plate-like terminal.

A housing-side lock part provided on a surface of a housing where an electric wire extraction part is formed and a protector-side lock part of a protector covering an outer circumference of the electric wire extraction part of the housing are engaged with each other and fix a shield shell to the housing through the protector, with a portion of the shield shell in contact with the surface of the housing where the electric wire extraction part is formed being sandwiched between the housing and the protector.

A retaining structure for a terminal fitting includes: a terminal fitting which has a cylindrical electric contact portion at a front end side and an electric wire connecting portion at a rear end side; a housing with which a cylindrical portion is integrally formed; a terminal accommodating chamber which is provided inwards of the cylindrical portion and which accommodates the terminal fitting with a moving gap left; and locking lances which are formed on a cylindrical wall portion of the cylindrical portion so as not to project from an outer circumferential surface thereof and which lock a lance locking portion of the terminal fitting which is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber so as to retain the terminal fitting in such a way as to enable a radial movement of the terminal fitting while restricting a rearward withdrawal of the terminal fitting.

A connector according to an aspect of the invention is a connector provided with a rear connector that includes a rear housing, and a front connector that includes a front housing and that is assembled to the rear connector; the rear housing contains a terminal of a cable end, and the front housing contains a mating terminal to be connected to the terminal; and the rear housing is provided with a checking window through which the terminal is exposed to outside and a voltage of the terminal can be checked, and a waterproof lid which closes the checking window in a sealed state.

A connector includes a plurality of connection terminals, a housing, an installing part and a sealing member. Cables are connected to the connection terminals. The housing holds the connection terminals. The installing part is formed by a part of the housing, and is fitted into a mounting hole of a connection counterpart. The sealing member is provided in the installing part, and seals between the installing part and the mounting hole. Connecting tab parts provided in the connection terminals are connected to a terminal block provided at the connection counterpart side. The connection terminals includes a confluent connection terminal including a plurality of cable connecting parts to which a plurality of the cables are connected and one of the connecting tab parts.

A connector can prevent, at a low cost, a phenomenon that a crack develops in a resin molded member to which a screwing plate portion of a terminal fitting is fixed due to a bending displacement of the screwing plate portion caused by fastening force of the screwing when the screwing plate portion is screwed to a terminal stage. A plate portion fixing portion, to which a screwing plate portionof a terminal fittingis fixed, of the connector housinghas a terminal escape spaceadjacent to the screwing plate portionon a destination side in a direction of fastening to a terminal stage. The terminal escape spacepermits a bending displacement of the screwing plate portionin the fastening direction.

A waterproof structure for a connector includes a housing, a shield wire, a shield terminal, a first packing, and a second packing. The housing has a tubular housing part. The shield wire passes through the inside of the tubular housing part and extends from the housing. The shield terminal has a first section, a second section and a third section. The first section and the second section get into the tubular housing part such that the shield wire passes through the inside of the shield terminal, the first section joints with a braided shield wire of the shield wire, and the third section protrudes from the tubular housing part. The first packing seals a gap between the second section of the shield terminal and the tubular housing part. The second packing seals a gap between the shield wire and the third section of the shield terminal.

A shielded cable fixing structure includes a shielded cable that includes an electric wire, a braid for covering the electric wire, and a sheath for covering the braid, an insulation housing that receives a terminal fitting electrically connected to the electric wire, a pair of split shield shells in which the insulation housing is mounted, a groove-shaped portion press-formed on a section of each of the split shield shells to cover a wire lead-out port of the insulation housing, from which the electric wire is led out, and is recessed on an outer surface of each of the split shield shells, and a braid fixing member fixed on an annular mounting groove constituted by the groove-shaped portions of the split shield shells, in a state where the braid is disposed between the annular mounting groove and the braid fixing member.
