There is provided an in-vehicle mount type navigation device in which a user can freely set a desired destination or via-places through which a route extending to the destination passes. A memory is provided with a destination/via-place table for storing data representing the destination and the via-places through which the route extending to the destination passes. A destination/registration place setting unit in a microprocessor stores data representing a place to be added in association with any specified one of a position between a via-place and another via-place or destination, and a position next to the destination into the destination/via-place table. On the basis of the data stored in the destination/via-place table, the guide route calculator of the microprocessor calculates a guide route which successively passes through the via-places and extends to the destination.

An address management system which is integrally compatible to an plurality of communication services and a plurality of communication application programs, and a communication terminal which utilizes such an address management system are disclosed. The address management system comprises type of communication service table and address management table which stores a number of identification information of communication destinations and types of communication services available to the communication destinations and associated communication addresses, a request acceptance unit for accepting a communication address inquiry request command, a type of communication service discrimination unit which discriminates a type of communication service which the communication application program of the communication address inquiry requestor uses, a communication address retrieval unit which searches the address management table to retrieve a communication address in accordance with identification information of the communication address inquiry request and the discriminated type of communication service, and a response unit which sends the retrieved communication address back to the communication address inquiry requestor. A proper communication address can be obtained by merely designating the terminal name of the destination terminal by the communication application program without identifying the type of communication service.

A communication control unit for integrated service digital network (ISDN) is disclosed. The ISDN communication control unit includes a data communication adapter for transmitting and receiving data to and from the ISDN and a voice adapter for transmitting and receiving voice data received from the ISDN, through the data communication adapter. The voice adapter includes a memory for storing voice data, a compression and expansion circuit for voice data, a temporary storage circuit for voice data, a monitor unit for voice data, a communication path change-over circuit for changing over a communication path between said temporary storage circuit, said monitor circuit and the ISDN, and a control unit for controlling these. A communication path is changed over by the communication path change-over circuit, to mutually transmit and receive voice data between the temporary storage circuit, the monitor circuit and the ISDN.

A radioactive waste is treated by supplying a liquid concentrate of at least one of a radioactive liquid waste and a radioactive waste slurry to a centrifugal film dryer, thereby drying and pulverizing insoluble and soluble solid matters contained in the concentrate, washing the centrifugal film drier with hot water after the drying and pulverization, settling the effluent washing water together with a condensate containing solid matters generated in the drying and pulverization, and supplying a slurry of insoluble solid matters separated by the settling to the centrifugal film drier, thereby drying and pulverizing the solid matters. The dried powder from the centrifugal film drier can be pelletized in a pelletizer, and effluent washing water generated by washing the pelletizer with hot water after the pelletization can be subjected to the settling together with the effluent washing water and the condensate from the centrifugal film drier. Operating load of the centrifugal film drier is considerably reduced, and the operating efficiency and life of the centrifugal film drier are improved thereby.

An earthquake-resistant crane including a plurality of girders supported on wheels for movement along rails includes a vertical vibration damping device to ensure safe operation of the crane. A method and system for continuously regenerating dehumidifiers of a charcoal adsorber system are provided. Off-gas, including radioactive noble gases, such as xenon and krypton, is physically adsorbed in charcoal adsorbers and discharged to the atmosphere after its radioactivity has decayed. Before passing to the charcoal adsorbers, the off-gas is subjected to dehumidifiers consisting of a molecular sieve or some other desiccant. A couple of dehumidifiers is alternately used because periodic regeneration for the dehumidifier is necessary to recover moisture adsorption ability of the desiccant. The regeneration for the dehumidifier is completed by the steps of purging the dehumidifier with fresh air, and thereafter circulating the fresh air within a closed loop including a heater, dehumidifier, cooler condenser, and blower. Moisture absorbed in the dehumidifier is carried away by circulating heated fresh air and separated from the fresh air by cooling condensers. After completion of the regeneration, the fresh air is returned to the charcoal adsorber system for further treatment. By employing fresh air as regeneration gas, the regeneration for dehumidifiers can be completed faster and with less contamination as compared with a conventional method of employing off-gas for regeneration.
