A moving mechanism includes a moving object to be moved between a first position and a second position where the moving object takes a stationary orientation different from a stationary orientation for the first position; a first projection and a second projection provided at different positions, respectively, on the moving object; a member having a first guiding groove that guides the first projection when the moving object is moved between the first position and the second position; and a member having a second guiding groove that guides the second projection when the moving object is moved between the first position and the second position, the second guiding groove having a different shape from the first guiding groove.

A plurality of process cartridges are installed and removed in a lateral direction of an image forming device main body. A conveying belt unit in the device main body includes a conveying belt that upwardly conveys a sheet on which an image is to be formed and a frame that supports an entraining roller at which the conveying belt is entrained. The image forming device includes a guide that guides the plurality of process cartridges to their installed positions in the device main body. The plurality of process cartridges correspond to respective toners of a plurality of colors. Each of the process cartridges includes a housing that supports a photosensitive drum which rotates in a predetermined direction. Each of the process cartridges also includes a handle having the same color as that of the frame of the conveying belt unit and which is formed integrally with the housing.

Process cartridge and image forming device

A plurality of process cartridges are provided at a device main body. The process cartridges are arranged in tandem in a vertical direction, and are each mountable/removable by being withdrawn in a horizontal direction. A transport belt is disposed near side portions of the process cartridges. The transport belt transports paper between the transport belt and each of the process cartridges. A cover covers the side portions of the process cartridges and is axially supported at the device main body, below the process cartridges, to be swingable. The cover is attached to be capable of opening and closing a process cartridge side portions side of the device main body. The belt is mounted at the cover so as to be disposed between the process cartridges and the cover, and operates integrally with the cover.

An image forming device of the present invention has: a plurality of process cartridges which are provided in a device main body so as to be installable and removable in a lateral direction, and which are disposed in a vertical row; cartridge guides formed at the device main body, and guiding the plurality of process cartridges respectively to installed positions; handles provided at end portions of the plurality of process cartridges respectively, and grasped at times of installing and removing the plurality of process cartridges respectively; and concave portions provided at insert-in portions of the plurality of cartridge guides respectively, and forming spaces for grasping of the handles.

Image forming device and process cartridge

An image forming device including: plural process cartridges which are provided in a device main body so as to be installable and removable in a lateral direction, and which are disposed in a vertical row; a belt body disposed so as to face the process cartridges, and able to withdraw from installation and removal routes of the process cartridges; an inner frame supporting both ends of an entraining roller around which the belt body is entrained; an outer frame provided at an outer side of the inner frame, and supporting the inner frame; and handles provided at end portions of the plural process cartridges respectively, the handles projecting-out from between the inner frame and the outer frame, and being grasped at times when the process cartridges are installed and removed.

An image formation device at which a pair of first side plates and a pair of second side plates are provided. Process cartridges are installed between the first side plates. Other apparatus to be disposed in a main body of the device is installed between the second side plates, which are disposed with a narrower spacing therebetween than the first side plates. In addition, electrical components are disposed at outer sides of the second side plates.

Frame for image formation device

A paper feed cassette or a paper transporting unit is selectively inserted into an image forming apparatus body. A manual paper feed unit is coupled to the paper transporting unit. A recording medium is fed out of the manual paper feed unit, passes through the paper transporting unit and reaches a main transporting path in the image forming apparatus body. An image is formed on the recording medium by image forming unit disposed in the main transporting path.

An image-forming apparatus including: an image-forming unit disposed so as to be detachably attached to an apparatus body; at least one sheet supply unit disposed at a lower portion of the apparatus body so as to be located below the image-forming unit for supplying a sheet, and including a sheet tray detachably attached to a body of the sheet supply unit; and a sheet carrying system including a sheet carrying path extending vertically so that the sheet supplied from the sheet supply unit is carried to an image-forming region of the image-forming unit and then ejected, wherein a spatial portion communicating with the openings at a top and bottom portions of the apparatus body and facing at least one part of the sheet carrying path is formed when the image-forming unit and the sheet tray of each sheet supply unit are detached from the apparatus body.

Image-forming apparatus

A sheet supply cassette includes a main frame body and an auxiliary frame body slidable with respect to the main frame body. In the main frame body, there is disposed a sheet placement plate which moves up and down according to the residual quantity of sheets placed, and there is disposed a sheet residual quantity display mechanism which displays the sheet residual quantity according to the upward and downward movements of the sheet placement plate. The display mechanism includes a sheet residual quantity detect portion for detecting the residual quantity of sheets, a sheet residual quantity display portion disposed on the front surface cover portion of the auxiliary frame body, and a connecting portion for connecting together the sheet residual quantity detect portion and sheet residual quantity display portion, while the connecting portion can be expanded and contracted according to the expansion and contraction of the sheet supply cassette.
