A method for applying an electrode mixture paste includes unwinding a core material wound in a coil shape; applying an electrode mixture paste to both sides of the core material; adjusting an application amount of the electrode mixture paste; drying a paste-coated sheet with the electrode mixture paste applied to the both sides thereof; and winding the paste-coated sheet in a coil shape. The electrode mixture paste is circulated and supplied by a circulation means having a storage function and a stirring function. The application method can achieve stable application accuracy even when a paste-coated sheet is continuously produced using a plurality of lots of electrode mixture pastes containing different types of powders having a large difference in the specific gravity.

Method and apparatus for applying electrode mixture paste

An electrode mixture paste application method includes: a first step of unwinding a core material () wound in a coil shape; a second step of applying an electrode mixture paste () to both sides of the core material; a third step of adjusting an application amount of the electrode mixture paste; a fourth step of drying a paste-coated sheet with the electrode mixture paste applied to the both sides thereof; and a fifth step of winding the paste-coated sheet () in a coil shape, wherein, in the fifth step, the paste-coated sheet is wound such that each of widthwise edge portions of a mixture-formed portion () is prevented from sequentially overlapping itself. This can achieve a stable method for applying an electrode mixture paste in which the deformation of an electrode caused by a dog-bone shape generated at both edge portions of a mixture-formed portion can be avoided.

A method for applying an electrode mixture paste includes: a first step of unwinding a core material () wound in a coil shape; a second step of applying an electrode mixture paste () onto the core material; a third step of adjusting an application amount of the electrode mixture paste; a fourth step of drying a paste-coated sheet () with the electrode mixture paste applied to the both sides thereof; and a fifth step of winding the paste-coated sheet in a coil shape. In this method, in one of the second and third steps, a core material-exposed portion () to which the electrode mixture paste is not applied is provided in both edge portions in a width direction of the core material, and, in the fourth step, a holding unit is provided in at least one position, the holding unit continuously holding the core material-exposed portion between a wheel type roller () and a contact belt () and changing a traveling direction of the paste-coated sheet. A stable electrode mixture paste application method can be achieved by preventing the occurrence of wrinkles formed when the electrode mixture paste containing a high specific gravity material is applied and dried in order to avoid the reduction in application accuracy due to the flow of the electrode mixture paste.

Method for applying electrode mixture paste and application apparatus

The present invention provides an electrostatic attracting-type ink jet recording method by which an ink dot which has adhered to the recording medium or intermediate recording material can be prevented from affecting the drawing direction of the subsequently jetting ink, whereby an ink can be invariably allowed to jet onto a proper position to form an image with a high quality. An electrostatic attracting-type ink jet recording method is provided which comprises applying a voltage pulse across a recording electrode connected to a recording head and an opposing electrode disposed on the opposite side of a recording medium or intermediate recording material, whereby the resulting Coulomb's force causes an ink to jet onto said recording medium or intermediate recording material through an orifice in the recording head to form an image thereon, characterized in that the relaxation time of the ink calculated by multiplying the dielectric constant of the ink by the volume resistivity of the ink during the operation of ink jet recording is in the range of 0.01 to 2 times the ink jetting period.

Ink jet recording method

A recording apparatus is disclosed comprising a recording head adapted to hold fusible ink, a transfer member facing the recording head without contacting it, heating means for heating the transfer member to a predetermined temperature, pressure applying means facing the transfer member in such a way that a recording medium can pass therebetween and cooperating with the transfer member for applying pressure to the recording medium, and voltage applying means for applying a voltage between the recording head and the transfer member, the recording head supplying the fusible ink in a molten state to the transfer member, the predetermined temperature being higher than the softening point of the ink and lower than the melting point of the ink, and the transfer member comprising materials having a surface energy approximately equal to the value of the critical surface tension of the ink and smaller than the surface energy of the recording medium.

Ink jet recording apparatus

A thermal printing ink medium which electrically generates heat to transfer an ink thereof to a transfer material to form an image thereon is disclosed, which comprises a first heating element layer, a second heating element layer in contact with said first heating element layer, said second heating element layer having a greater volume resistivity than said first heating element layer, a conductive layer in contact with said second heating element layer, an ink layer provided on the side of said conductive layer opposite to said second heating element layer, and an adhesion-improving layer formed on the interface between said conductive layer and second heating element layer by the interaction therebetween so as to have a given volume resistivity. The thermal printing ink medium has advantages of (1) broadened choice of materials for an ink layer and ease in coloring the ink layer, (2) production ease and economy, (3) stable printing quality, (4) feasibility of repeated use, (5) an increased energy efficiency in image printing, (6) freedom from surface damage, (7) a reduced peak temperature of heat generation in a heat generating layer, and (8) high resolving power.

Image recording method of the present invention comprises the steps of forming electrostatic latent image on a latent image carrier by a latent image forming means, developing the formed electrostatic latent image with toner, and transferring the visualized toner image to a transfer material after repeating at least the developing step plural times, wherein double-element developer formed from mixing toner and magnetic carrier with its density of 4.0 g/cm.sup.3 or less is used in at least the second and the succeeding developing steps among the plural times of the developing steps.
