A heating stage according to the present invention comprises a flat stage portion on which a work piece is placed, a glass section having cylindrical portion in which two or more lamps are disposed as a heating unit, and a metal section having a cylindrical portion and a bottom portion forming an inner space by fixing the metal section and the glass section integrally wherein the inner space is under reduced pressure, and inert gas is filled.

A suitable operation temperature can be reached in a short period of time in a heat roller comprising a cylindrical metallic substrate and a heating lamp axially arranged inside said metallic substrate, the heating lamp comprising a bulb filled with a thermally conductive gas and having a filament installed therein, by using a gas whose thermal conductivity is 110&times;10 (W/m.K) or less at room temperature.

A tube type incandescent lamp having light-emitting parts and non-light-emitting parts, wherein a filament assembly comprises coiled filaments and short bars, which are arranged alternately, the short bars are separately held by their corresponding constricted portions provided in a tube envelope made of glass, and each of the light-emitting parts and the non-light-emitting parts is formed of a space portion surrounded by the tube envelope part between adjacent constricted portions. The outermost ones of the short bars in the filament assembly are shorter than the other short bars and two light-emitting parts are continuously formed at each outer portion of the incandescent lamp.

An incandescent lamp comprises a glass envelope, a filament supported by constricted portions of the glass envelope, lead rods extending from both ends of the filament, tapered constricted portions at both ends of the glass tube to provide sealing portions by which the lead rods are surrounded respectively, and contacts connected to the outer ends of the lead rods respectively. The sealing ports are formed in such a manner that their outer diameters are equal to or smaller than those of the respective contacts, cylindrical bases are arranged so as to enclose the respective contacts, portions of the lead rods which project out of the sealing portions, and the sealing portions, and to be in contact with the respective tapered portions following the sealing portions, and fixing cement is filled in the bases. As a result of this construction, it is possible to shorten the length of the sealing portions so as to make the effective emission length of the incandescent lamp sufficiently long and to hold it stably without any breaks of the sealing portions.
