A CCD is such that a single image sensing area is produced by performing exposure four times in four areas. Four correction circuits are provided in association with respective ones of the four areas. Four items of image data obtained based upon respective ones of the four areas are input to corresponding correction circuits, which apply a correction to prevent image disturbance at the area boundaries. One frame of image data is generated from corrected image data of respective ones of the areas and the image data is recorded on a memory card.

Apparatus for correcting solid-state electronic image sensing device

An order apparatus for print which does not require an index print, allows required printing order of frames to be designated and allows watching a replayed picture of the film. When a developed still film is set, plural frame pictures of the film are read out and stored in a picture memory to output picture signal showing plural frame pictures to a picture display apparatus to thereby display plural frame pictures. Accordingly, when designating the frames to be printed on the display apparatus by means of a touch pen and also designating the number of prints of the designated frame, the order information regarding print will be recorded in a record medium. The order information may be recorded on a modifiable recording medium on the developed film. The order apparatus for printing may include a card reader for reading order information including the number of prints per frame number written on an order card by a user. The order information may be recorded in the recording medium in accordance with confirmation of such information from a user.

Frames images in all frames on developed photographic film are read first, and an index image is made of a plurality of frames to be displayed on a TV monitor. Then, one of a plurality of regeneration modes is designated. When regeneration in the designated regeneration mode is commanded, frame images on the photographic film are read on a frame-by-frame basis. The read frame images are regenerated on the TV monitor on a frame-by-frame basis in the designated regeneration mode. Thereby, a regeneration mode suitable for the film can be selected among a plurality of regeneration modes, while the frame images on a roll of film are confirmed by means of an index image displayed during regeneration mode selection.

Film image regenerating method and device

The memory capacity for photo film can be expanded with an external memory medium. In addition, lab service can be changed and/or added. A memory card 120 is arranged in the film player, and a small amount of information indicating the memory area of the memory card 120 which corresponds to each frame is recorded magnetically in a record track which corresponds to each frame of the photo film. A large amount of information related to each frame is recorded in the memory card 120. With this arrangement, the memory capacity for the photo film can be expanded. In addition, the memory card 120, in which the lab service program is recorded, can be used, and the lab service program can be loaded from the memory card 120 to the EEPROM 123 through the interface 124 by the film player. Therefore, although the service to the lab may be changed and/or added, a new lab service program can be entered and can give the order application to the lab with the new lab service.

Method for expanding memory capacity for photo film and a film player

An index image data which shows all frames of a film within a film cartridge is stored in a memory card corresponding to a film cartridge or an IC memory integrated in a cartridge. Then, when an index image which shows plural frames is regenerated, the index image data stored in the memory card is read out, and the index image is displayed on a TV monitor in accordance with the readout index image data. As a result, when a person orders additional copies and views a film image on TV monitor, a desired film cartridge can easily be found without pulling the film from the film cartridge. Furthermore, at least the data which are used when one frame is regenerated are stored in the memory card, so that the pre-scanning can be omitted when one frame is regenerated and a desired film image can be displayed on the monitor.

Film image input method and apparatus with image index data detection

A developed photographic film including a magnetic layer is transported up to an image reading part so as to read a film image thereon. The film images are sequentially displayed on a TV monitor in accordance with automatic regenerating information. The automatic regenerating information is previously input as information used for sequentially and automatically regenerating a plurality of the film images. Moreover, magnetic information is used as a part of the automatic regenerating information. This magnetic information is recorded in the magnetic layer by a camera at the time of photographing. As a result, an operation is simplified at the time of inputting the automatic regenerating information.

Automatic regenerating method for film image

The present invention relates to a film image input method, wherein a line sensor is used as an image sensor to reduce the cost, and the image data can be corrected in accordance with the taking environment, which occurs in a case of using the line sensor, for every frame. A line sensor is provided in which photoelectric transfer elements are arranged in a direction perpendicular to a feeding direction of a long roll of developed film for a still camera, the film is fed at the first speed continuously to take the rough image data of all frames through the line sensor, and the taking environment for every frame is detected based on the taken rough image data. Thereafter, when reproducing one frame, the film is fed at the second speed which is lower than the first speed, whereby the fine image data of the desired frame are adjusted in accordance with the detected taking environment of the frame and stored in the CCD buffer, and then the image signals are output to the TV monitor based on the stored fine image data.

Film image input method and system thereof

A roll of developed still photographic film feeds toward an image capturing part. The image capturing part captures the image data of plural frames. An index image, which is composed of plural frames, is made in accordance with the captured image data of plural frames, and the index image is displayed on a display. When the index image is displayed, the format information relating to an aspect ratio of each frame, which is recorded in the film, is read. An image processing conforming to the format information of each frame is executed in accordance with the read format information, so that the aspect ratio of each frame in the index image can be seen. Only an image area, which is required for display and printing, is read according to the format information relating to the aspect ratio of each frame. As a result, the pixels of the line sensor can be used effectively.

Film image input method

Thereafter, when reproducing one frame, the film is fed at the second speed, whereby the fine image data of the desired frame are adjusted in accordance with the detected taking environment of the frame and stored in the CCD buffer, and then the image signals are output to the TV monitor based on the stored fine image data.

When a film cartridge storing a developed film including a magnetic layer is mounted in an electronic viewer, the film is pulled out from the cartridge, and a forward end of the film is wound around a winding axis. A film transport is controlled in accordance with a detection signal generated by a frame detector every detection of the frame, so that a film image of the film can be observed. At the same time, the viewer reads out magnetic information recorded in the magnetic layer, which corresponds to each film image. Contents of the magnetic information are displayed on an LCD of the viewer. As a result, a user can observe his desirable film image and the contents of the magnetic information corresponding the desired film image.

A magnetic track on a photographic film is provided with a record region in which a renewal code or a flag indicating that a processing for an order to be completed is recorded. When print order information is renewed, the renewal code or the flag is renewed or cleared. As a result, it can be automatically judged whether the print order information recorded in the magnetic track is the same as one at the time of a previous order, and a processing at a laboratory can be automatically carried out. The print order information is classified into plural types of information including information to be rewritten for every order and information not to be rewritten for every order. At a laboratory, the print order information to be rewritten for every order is automatically deleted or reset before returning the photographic film to the user.
