An optical system includes: a lens group having an optical axis, a focal length of a first light, and a focal length of a second light; and a light splitter disposed at rear side of the lens group and splitting the first light and the second light incident from the lens group respectively, to guide the first light onto first imaging position and guide the second light onto second imaging position. The lens group includes lens elements transmitting the first light and the second light to match the first imaging position with the focal length of the first light and match the second imaging position with the focal length of the second light separately from the first imaging position. The lens element of the lens group is provided in front side of the light splitter with no lens element being provided in the rear side of the light splitter.

Optical system, imaging device, and imaging system

This is to shed light on a glass composition suitable for a thin lens, and provide a lens (an optical component) manufactured with using the glass. A concave lens as an optical component is made of glass containing 12 to 16% of BO, 35 to 44% of LaO, and 3 to 8% of ZnO, expressed as wt %. The concave lens has a thickness tin its center portion of 0.5 mm or less, and a ratio (W/t) of an external diameter W with respect to the thickness tof 24 or more. The concave lens can be produced suitably by press forming.

Optical component and method for producing the same

An optical element includes: an optically functional part having a first convex surface and a second convex surface intersecting with an optical axis and facing opposite to each other; and an outer peripheral part provided around the optically functional part, the outer peripheral part having a first outer peripheral surface extending from a periphery of the first convex surface and a second outer peripheral surface extending from a periphery of the second convex surface. The first outer peripheral surface and the second outer peripheral surface each are formed to be tapered. A thickness of the outer peripheral part in an optical axis direction is reduced toward a direction moving away from the optical axis.

Optical element

A concave lens as an optical component is made of glass containing 20 to 22% of BO, 30 to 40% of LaO, and 19 to 25% of ZnO, expressed as wt %. The concave lens has a thickness tin its center portion of 0.5 mm or less, and a ratio (W/t) of a diameter W with respect to the thickness tof 24 or more. The concave lens can be produced suitably by press forming.
